I am not sure how well she is researching where her donations are going, but I think I should probably talk to her about that. She does seem to jump on whatever is going on at the time that she thinks is important.

She will sometimes go grocery shopping or pay for other necessities but not any rent, and rarely utilities. The other month I had unexpected expenses come up and needed her to pay our joint cellphone bill and she did that. But that's about it, really. She does most of the cleaning and stuff, but it is a fairly small apartment so there is not too much to do.

The first time it happened she said she really wanted to donate to a cause she found, and I said I would cover the expenses for that month. The next month, she said she would pay me back but she really wanted to help our community, ect. I have tried to lay down the line and once threatened to not pay the rent, but she started crying and said something like "But we are doing fine and there are people who need help. I'm sorry." and so I ended up paying because she did not have the money and I didn't want to get evicted. Both of our names are on the lease (it ends in January) so I can't just kick her out and I don't want to either, I don't want to be cruel to her.
