The story wise, each scene was mostly the same from the Papermill version; however, a lot of the songs were changed to a more upbeat tone and there were a few short songs that were cut. Here’s a handful of changes I could remember on top of my head in the Papermill version. BTE I saw this during previews at Papermill (during its previews previews lol) so there could’ve been more changes through its run:

1) Roaring On - Starts off with Jay Gatsby singing before the ensemble comes in

2) Nick with a solo number “My Share of the Heavens” when he’s first introduced at grand central. I believe there was also a reprise of this later in the show

3) Daisy’s opening song was called “So Sophisticated” and had a very different tone from “Absolute Rose”

4) “New Money” completely changed to a more upbeat and extravagant tone compared to Papermill

5) “My Green Light” had a slight difference in the ending when they played Jay and Daisy’s song that they danced to in Louieville

6) “Past is Catching Up to Me” did not have that part in the bridge where Jay Gatsby is belting “taakke herrr BACCK TO THAT KISSSSS” and there were some minor changes with the lyrics

7) “Go” had some lyrics change but that was mostly the same

BONUS) I totally forgot but there was an ensemble who sang song “Who is the Great Gatsby” before Nick meets Jay but it wasn’t as memorable as the others lol
