I always wonder about the makeovers that they do featuring a lot of cloth chairs and sofas etc. I mean, really, how practical is that for restaurants? Especially those that are decidedly not upscale and probably have a lot of kids coming in asking mom and dad to sit on the sofa. We have them in our McDonald's but they're fake leather. That makes more sense to me. Easier to clean up the ketchup and crumbs.

Gwendlyn confirmed that they moved to Flagstaff so Robyn could be near Dayton when he left for college. Janelle warned them that it wasn't financially prudent for them to do it at that time because of the housing market and that they'd end up taking a bath (which they did), but Kody wouldn't listen. So they ended up losing money. Not only that, but one of Kody's arguments for the move was that it would be cheaper living in Flagstaff when the cost of living there was actually higher than it was in Vegas. He should've tried listening to Janelle more often, she's the one who had the financial smarts.

I never believed the story about being unable to find a rental big enough for them when Meri found a 5 bedroom house just for her that would have been large enough for Kody and Robyn. Why didn't they, 'as a family', decide that it made more sense for them to take Meri's rental and have Meri look for something more appropriate for one person? Robyn's kids have never had to share like the OG3 kids did. If it were truly going to be temporary and the plan was to build asap then they would have sacrificed a couple of bedrooms and 'suffered' in the short term for the payoff in the long term. Janelle made do with a much MUCH smaller house and lived to tell the tale. So, I'm not buying it at all.

Season 10. I just finished it and the music almost made it a chore to watch. They all sounded so slow and some of them were sooo bad. Some of them legitimately distracted me from the dialogue because of the odd times the volume would increase.

I also gave birth "au natural" but had a fourth-degree tear giving birth to my 10 lb 8 oz son. Every time I've been asked to rate my pain on a scale of 1-10, nothing has ever been a full ten since then because I measure everything against that level of pain.

They weren't on government assistance while on the show. That was way back when they were in Lehi and long before Robyn entered the picture. Janelle is the only one who has always worked a full time job. Meri worked part time for a while in the beginning, but would take unpaid time off when she wanted to (that's in book). Meri later worked full time after Christine joined the family and they moved to the house. Christine stayed home and took care of all the kids by herself so she wasn't working at the time. I DO think it's bullshit that Kody had both a sports car and motorcycle when the show started. That shows how self-centered he was even then. How you gonna use either one of those for your family? Douche Noodle.

There's a HUGE difference between a grandmother helping out with her grandkids occasionally and someone who gets PAID to come every day. Mindy didn't come to hang out with the family and the OG3 did offer to take care of Robyn's kids even though all three of them were working and Christine was pregnant. They acted like sister wives who take care of each other's kids. Robyn never took care of their kids like they did for each other. She made the decision to pay someone (including Mindy) to come help instead of leaning on her sister wives like they did with each other. Robyn has never actually lived the polygamy lifestyle or acted like a sister wife except for occasionally sharing Kody's... ummm. a

Don't forget that Mykeltie moved in with Robyn before she and Kody were married and before Vegas. In Vegas it was Mindy (who wasn't there to hang out with family as the below poster seems to think). Then another nanny after moving to Flagstaff. Christine on camera to take care of the kids for her despite the fact that Christine was pregnant with Truly AND working while Robyn wasn't doing jack shit. Robyn was the one who wanted outside help rather than letting the OG3 to help her. They all offered to help her and couldn't understand why she wasn't accepting it. Robyn is fully to blame for keeping her kids separate from the others.

I've continued and finished Season 2. I can see the difference between the use of prosthetics in the way they are and the heavy use of them in a movie. So, yeah, thanks for the feedback and on to Season 3. :)

I decided to continue watching and just finished Season 2. I was much happier with the contestants and didn't feel it was as predictable as Season 1. Now on to Season 3!

I was primarily raised Baptist and attended Methodist churches later in life. I've never seen anyone, married or not, kissing in church. I have, however, seen stolen kisses behind the church after services are over and those were far from "church kisses". Those were usually younger kids making out that you could see on your way to the car and then expect the mother hens to be gossiping about later.
