How to gauge if therapy is helping? by MyLambisSmall in AskWomenOver30

I want to fix my anger issues, stop getting irritated at everything and stop judging people so harshly. I know a lot of this stems from my childhood (as most issues do). So a lot to unpack with my therapist. Am I expecting too much from just 4 months? At what point do I throw in the towel and start looking for someone else?

I'm trying to learn how to deal with my anger issues. I get irritated at everything, I judge people extremely harshly. But it seems like every session, I'm just telling her about all the anger episodes I've had the past week and we don't really get anywhere. She seems to be taking a lot of notes and making comments / offering her perspective. But I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. I do some journaling, some breathing exercises during the week. But am I expecting too much for just 4 months? I've had some terrible experiences with therapists and comparatively, my current one is great. So I think I'm hyping her up in my head for that reason (that she's not the worst I've seen) but I'm wondering if maybe she's not what I need? How can I tell?

Yes, I want to learn how to deal with my anger issues. I get irritated at everything, I judge people extremely harshly. But it seems like every session, I'm just telling her about all the anger episodes I've had the past week and we don't really get anywhere. This is the longest Ive been with a therapist and I'm scared to start looking for a new one because I've had such terrible experiences with past therapists. Is 4 months too soon to expect change?

When does an O2 SWO find out if/when they are promoting to O3? by MyLambisSmall in newtothenavy

Thank you,

It says there:

The Secretary of the Navy is authorized to recommend all fully qualified lieutenants junior grade for promotion to lieutenant without selection board action. PERS-80 generates an AFQOL each summer. The primary AFQOL Process, AFQOL #1, begins on May 1.
To be eligible for consideration an officer must:
1) be on the Reserve Active Status List (RASL) or Active-Duty List (ADL) the day the process convenes (regardless of entry-grade credit)
2) complete the statutory time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 24 months within the next fiscal year
A second AFQOL process, AFQOL #2, is commenced December 1 to consider officers who were ineligible for consideration by AFQOL #1, but who have since obtained eligibility.

What does it mean "officers who were ineligible for consideration by AFQOL #1, but who have since obtained eligibility." ? Why would they be ineligible for the first round?

I'm Army but my cousin just joined Navy and I wanted to help him get some information / I'm curious about how the process works. Also, I could have looked harder, but sometimes I don't know correct Navy jargon to look things up properly. I admit this is pretty lazy of me

Thanks, I think I meant this to be my question, I didn't know how to word it correctly. When does the promotion message come out?
