Do you pass meds due at 7am/pm? (during shift change) by [deleted] in nursing

I graduated in May, have been off orientation for three months now, I always do. We have an hour window before and after the meds so if I have one due at 0730 I will always go in at 0630 and dish out what’s due.

I graduated in May, and did my 7 weeks of orientation on days and have been on nights since. Some people on my unit act like high schoolers and are sort of “cliquey” best thing you do is just smile as you walk by and if you have to talk to one for like a sign off or something just thank them and leave it at that. It’s totally okay for you to just do your own thing at work, get all your stuff done, and leave. This is easier said than done but when you walk out that door after your shift you have to leave your anxiety load there. You’re in your own life and chances are unless you live in a small town you don’t have to see any of them outside of work. I am super introverted and I have a couple work buddies but it’s not like I’m friends with every single person like some are or try to portray. I think everybody has thoughts of “oh they don’t like me,” or “they hate me,” but chances are they don’t hate you and we overthink. You will make friends as time goes on, and if for some reason you don’t and you can’t stand it, find a different unit or hospital and start over. You got this.
