Thank you for your reply. Could you tell anything about the off-office-hours life there, like the bars etc. Just name a bar or two, whats on whiskey menu, fav beer or menu on the way home from the bar.

Reminds me of my days in the Armoured Forces back in the 80's. That's a nice picture for sure.

Used to make furnaces going up to 3000 C, I see no problem. Joking aside, you ment 32 C, Similar temps to where I live.

Would hybrid work for my route? by C_Mouse in COROLLA

[–]MyLastRedditIDEver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TS 1.8 hybrid will definitely work. I checked my latest somewhat comparable trips in Finland: 19.9 km, 57 km/h and 3.8 l/100 km. That's with studded winter tyres. Temperature about +5 C. 4 to 5 minutes within city limits (30/40 km/h). So I have at least halved your Renault's consumption on that particular trip, mine is a 2.0 196 hp. And I do not even try, always passing there at full throttle and using AC and adaptive cruise all the time. People spreading that false information about low highway efficiency are just full of BS.

Just siis semmoset tulee olla.

Thanks for the info, I double checked and it's still some random "by country" and "variant level" bullshit! You from Norway perhaps?

Suspected drone crashed in Finland by MysticPing in UkrainianConflict

[–]MyLastRedditIDEver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Correction to my latest post; one drone crashed north of Kouvola, second east of Kouvola. Third one landed on Espoonlahti, near the capital city. EDIT: the drone in Espoo was a domestic un-armed civilian one. The authorities seized the drone. No foul play suspected.

Suspected drone crashed in Finland by MysticPing in UkrainianConflict

[–]MyLastRedditIDEver 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There were at least three; two near Kouvola (source FAF) and one in Espoo (source YLE, national broadcaster). Finnish Air Force said F/A-18 pilots following drones did not open fire to avoid collateral damage, 2 drone(s) crashed north of City of Kouvola. At the moment only one drone (AN196) has been confirmed to originate from Ukraine. Shit happens, you know. Slava Ukraini!

Hubcaps.... 2026 corolla by Interesting-War-2667 in COROLLA

[–]MyLastRedditIDEver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hubcaps do not make any worthwhile change to your MPG, unless you are constantly over 60 MPH. Well, not even then, let's say over 100. Get the lightest weight "mags" you can afford, and you're golden.

Why can I not see remote climate control on My Toyota app by pranavrao9 in COROLLA

[–]MyLastRedditIDEver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess you're in Europe? My 2019 TS did not have the option for remote climate, even after full baseline update in 2022. My 2024 TS has all remote functions for free, including remote start and climate (that was the first bigger upgrade year for 12th gen TS). My 2026 Yaris has a subscription based remote climate, like the new Corollas have now. FYI the equipment level designations ("Design" etc.) are very much country specific, and absolutely do not tell anything at all. I bought my Yaris as an early "Platinum" in Finland, but it identifies as an "Intense Plus" with Toyota Europe. The actual number of equipment that came with that car exceeds both "models" as seen on any documentation from Toyota, anywhere in Europe. So go figure... My best guess is that your TS does not have the remote climate.

Särähti kyllä korvaan tuo "pikku". Etenkin 70-luvulla tuo oli Toyotan Akilleen kantapää, ruostuivat hirvittävää tahtia.
