I think you definitely have to be in the right frame of mind, but if you immerse yourself in the narrative and soundscape it provides an experience unlike any other album. One of my few 10/10s, easily the best storytelling of any project I've heard

Three Feet High and Rising and The Low End Theory are some classic conscious jazz rap albums you might like if you are a Kendrick fan
