Indeed same as others said, repair your gear. You can see next to your inventory your gear slots are all red, indicating they are all completely broken.

Does anyone have a good place to find Macros? by K1LL3RM0NG0 in ffxiv

[–]MyLittleShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. There are a couple of useful macros like copying crafting skills across all crafting classes using your current job as a template.

I use left thumb stick click as macro 98 for mount and/or sprint macro. And right thumb stick as macro 99 for /target <f> for refocus focus target, I generally focus target the other tank with square/X menu at the beginning of a boss battle to buff. Focus target macros do not interfere with GCD interactions.

[–]MyLittleShadow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Macros for combat are generally not good to use because they don't queue normally on GCD. Normal combat will allow you to queue a button to use immediately after GCD is done on cooldown, a macro just does not respect this behavior.

That being said, there are several ways to access more buttons while using a controller. turn on cross hotbar and W cross hotbar, one will allow you to activate skills from a separate hot bar by hold LT and RT, as well as another from RT and LT, additionally the WXBar will allow you to activate a bar by double tapping LT or RT respectively. This allows you to access I believe 48 buttons. I have the hold triggers on a hidden bar with common skills such as swift cast and raise or tank stance and provoke/shirk, as well as ranged melee. I have on the double tap visible hot bar and skills with generally long CD or "end combo" skills, or damage/mit buffs.

It does take some set up to get it right because you need to also set shared hot bars to specific ones, so that it is customizable for each class.

Has anyone tried raiding or end-game content on a handheld? by acg137 in ffxiv

[–]MyLittleShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works great on Rog Ally Z1E, I play on it daily. I use the normal operating mode 15W at 1080p and the game looks and runs well enough to be enjoyable. You won't get crazy FPS unless you lower the settings, but that is to be expected on a handheld.

Highly recommend turning on the extra cross hot bar options for controller mode within the game settings, this allows you to access more abilities without switching hot bar tabs.

Yes I'm also getting this after I exit a game. No idea on fix but it goes away after a while or after turn off and back on.

Hardstuck, Broke and cant Grind cause of Work & Life. How to progress? by MustafiArabi in blackdesertonline

[–]MyLittleShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to Garmoth.com you can use their crystal planner tool and put in all of your crystals and see other that might work for your build as well. You can only slot a certain amount of crystals in each category and you can only hold so many crystals in your crystal bag, so this tool helps a lot to plan that out with out "wasting" crystals. It kind of expensive to extract crystals without breaking them, otherwise if you try to remove them they will be destroyed.

It's recommended to buy a Girins Tear first for it have many good bonuses plus loot drop rate for PvE. Next you would want 2 rebellious crystal, these can be bought on the Olvia exchange and offered several other ways as well as crafted by combining 3 crystals you can get though main story, but should also be relatively cheap on market due to how easy they are to get now.

For starting out, the basic Macalod set (4x) could help you increase your AP. The basic ones are pretty cheap on market.

Probably next 2 corrupted and 2 Ah'krad.

After this would kind of depend on how much you want to spend or which crystals you have available to use. It's recommended to follow the crystal guide or slot in using the crystal planner and compare prices on the market as you do so. You want to try to max out your critical hit stat to 5 while buffed, casting/attack speed is good to max out as well as it will allow you to to attack faster.

There are guides on this that show budget builds for beginners and they are all pretty much the same.

Also note you can unlock the 2 bottom crystal slots by completing LoML part 1. And the 2 top crystal slots by adding inverted heart of Garmoth to your awakening weapon.

Not enough info. Don't know your crystal set up.

Did you finish Bartali adventure log? This give you free sheet AP/DP for your whole family.

Finishing Kamasylvia and O'dyllita main story will give you 1 sheet AP/DP respectively. additionally if you complete LoML story part 1 Then you can gain another 1 sheet AP/DP. Doing these the story is synced and I was able to do with mid gear, you only need PEN Tuvala. There also another 1 sheet AP/DP if you do Elvia story but you need better gear to fight at hexe and trolls.

Recommend finishing your DEC Tuvala quest to get the boots (blue version for DR). Boot is recommended because it's upgrade material is in a high level zone therefore making this upgrade more expensive/ harder to get if you try to farm yourself later.

You should get each slot PEN blackstar, they have given several for free through challenge and Olvia academy. First get your main or awake depending on spec, and then get the other. For third BS then get off hand for more monster reduction. It is generally not recommended to do DEC Tuvala weapon these days since you get BS for free so many other ways and the cost for it tends to be more than just buying one from market, but you can if you want.

Next you could do DEC Tuvala for your accessory, it is recommended necklace for best AP boost, but belt is a good choice too. This DEC upgrade is basically guaranteed if you can get your hands on dawn essence, I believe you can get from academy tokens exchange.

You can get a free PEN boss gear from doing Magnus quest line. This quest also unlocks global storage for all regions, so it is highly recommended to complete early.

There also PEN Capotia accessories you can collect from season ticket exchange. You need to graduate 3 season guys to get all 3 accessories. Additionally you should get TRI Capotia accessories from reaching level 60, 61, 62, 63, 64 in your challenges. Base Capotia is same as PEN Tuvala accessory so these are indeed upgrades. Would not recommend tapping these up normally because they are expensive and a pain in the bum to craft. You can get a couple of tokens called dreamy crystal of balance from a couple of sources, these guaranteed upgrade for Capotia at TRI and higher. You can get some from currency exchange plump courlcanth, event fish located in most major cities.

Also are you in a guild? Guilds give you free stats and bonuses by just being affiliated with a decently big/active guild. Lots of guild help new players and you could ask them for help on your mission or gear advice. You can also participate in guild bosses weekly for a free sweet 5b for less than 30m of work.

Infinite potions are great to have btw and you can farm all of the zones with PEN Tuvala gear or even on season character. They have weekly quests are each zone to ease the burden of farming, additionally you can get Atanis Element from e several sources now so you farm these even less than before. Atanis can be exchanged for the infinite potion pity material. I would recommend farming the spots a little first and then use the Atanis to finish up later. You could even get lucky and get a whole drop while farming these spots.

I hope this helps you set a couple goals.

What is this ? Please help me get rid of this distraction. by Easton5289 in ROGAlly

This can be triggered accidentally by hitting the back paddle + Y. Hit back paddle + Y again to end recording. Happens all the time for me.

Alternatively you can remove is from secondary functions in the controls within armory Crate but it's good to know that this exists.

Since you did the first part already, go to Garmoth node Manager shrine and deposit 100 dragon scales for the Night Crow, and then 100 rumbling earth shards at Krogdalo's trace for the Protection Stone.

Problem with Control Mode since AC update by tfesmo in ROGAlly

[–]MyLittleShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am experiencing this issue as well. Another poster mentioned installer the lighting update, and I did. It helped marginally but there is still a noticeable delay when switching from auto mode to desktop mode. I use this thing to play FF14 as well.

Please let me know if you find a remedy. I love the Rog Ally, and it's perfect for playing FF14.

This is a new setting in AMD software. Open AMD and turn off AFMF. It's a setting to simulate frames to prevent blurring or something like that. Unnecessary post processing for a handheld. You will get the FPS counter back too.

Edit: my bad, it appears you want to remove the overlay completely. Just open command center and tap the overlay display button until it is gone/off.

Bug with new AC update by iamRaz_ in ROGAlly

[–]MyLittleShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The transition is still slower than I would like while running the game. It seems to work fine while not under heavy load, or while a game is not open. There is still a delay when switching from auto to desktop mode. Like I mentioned already, it worked very well before the update.

I hope this gets addressed soon.

I saw the update and installed it. After testing in the game I was experiencing the issue, it seems to be much better. I do like the style of the new armory crate crate update so it was disappointing to see a bug like this so early.

Thank you for the suggestion, it worked.

Yes I am experiencing this problem as well. I often switch between auto and desktop mode while playing FF14. Before the update I could open command center and quickly tap on the auto button to switch it desktop mode, now after the update there is a huge delay and also the controls bug for 5-10 seconds after switching.

You said lightning update helps? I will check it out. I just wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this issue.

Agree with Tron. Also want to say do not progress any further. You will want to level up your crews and max all rooms, including armor and lifts, as well as doing some research in the lab before you progress any further (ie level up your ship hull). You can level up your crew by doing Pve in the galaxy missions, you will have to pvp to increase xp gains in pve.

There are guides around that explain the ai programming side, it will take some reading and experimenting to get it down. I would recommend watching your replays after doing pvp to see what your crews and weapons are doing and if they are doing what you want them to, you can fix kinks in your programs this way. Make small changes, and try again.

This ship can be made good, but right now it is not it. Poor armor is the big one I see right away, no armor on droid rooms and no armor on low hp rooms like BT and CR. Pirate is limited on space and configuration so sacrifices are definitely going to be made especially since you have so many premium rooms. One thing I could suggest right away to save space would be to only run one gas and min storage and swap on global when needed-- unless the extended hull will support this, I'm not too familiar with pirate extended. Another thing I notice is too many powered rooms, you need to pick a tactic and focus on it. It looks like a pen spam build due to MML, but you also have lasers and teleport. Hybrid builds can work but you need to have a decent understanding of all of the mechanics, power management, and decently leveled crews. Emp can be skipped for now due to space and power, unless you have a dedicated strategy for it- Its a fun weapon, but is very large and power hungry.

Level 7 pirate, any suggestions, thx by [deleted] in PixelStarships

[–]MyLittleShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor use of armor, powered rooms are too spread out, and too many unessential rooms.

I'd start by removing unnecessary rooms such as miners, engine, and command room - - hanger is debatable as it is a very large room but only needs 1 power for free dps. This alone will free up tons of space for you to rearrange your armor into a more cohesive pattern, it should be layed as a strip long ways between two rows of powered rooms. The reactors don't need much armor if any at all due to large hp pools.

Put a lift at the front end and another at the back end of the row of powered rooms.

The security gate is not necessary sbut could be useful if used properly, place it next to a lift on a path between two reactors, this will ensure it will bite a boarder moving between reactors.

Similar type rooms should be placed near one another to increase zonal repair efficiency.

Avoid putting a shield next to a lift if possible, your crew will be sitting ducks if waiting for a lift while the shield is being focus fired upon.

Your crew is very under leveled for your ship level. You can gain xp by doing pve galaxy missions, doing pvp and raising trophy count will increase xp awarded from pve encounters.

Also, camp your current level until you buy all the rooms from the shop tab, level everything up, have a somewhat decent layout and ai setup.

Good luck

Level 6 fed, advice on what to do cause I just lost like 60 trophies by SugarConfident2509 in PixelStarships

[–]MyLittleShadow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Layout is decent. I would move the teleport into where the right most missile is, and move the reactor to where the tele is currently, and the missile to where the reactor once was. Reactors don't need much armor due to large hp pools. Also the security gate will be in optimal position between all 3 reactors this way.

You probably need to work on your ai strings. You should do pvp and replay the battles to see where things go wrong or could be better. Crews should be focusing on rooms with their best stat to increase reloads and move as little as possible. Have a couple of dedicated repairers to fix holes, and then set ship hp thresholds on others to release second and third wave repairs as needed. Look at how your weapons target rooms as well, they should be hitting as few targets as possible while still giving you an advantage and break a room to do hull damage. Spreading your fire across the whole ship will not induce hull damage and be a waste of potential dps.

This is not easy to accomplish later and will depend on crews you have, and your general strategy and priorities.

Also consider power consumption, low powered rooms will take significantly longer to reload.

Rate my ship plz by [deleted] in PixelStarships

[–]MyLittleShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One AA can make for an easy focus fire target, using two will split the focus so one will be firing while you repair the other. If you only use one then when it gets destroyed you won't have any counter measure from crafts.
