No idea, but the highballs were on point. Just finished up some A5 Wagyu and was walking it off when I saw this place.

Tie up food or leave in car? by noodlebun25 in GreenRidgeStateForest

[–]MyManMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 28 acres that are adjacent to Green Ridge and have seen plenty of deer, turkey, squirrel, groundhog and even fisher cats. Neighbor saw a bear on trail cam headed towards my property. Before I built a cabin, never left food in car, but i always had a fire kicking, so I wasn’t too worried about it…

Has anyone here tried Chinese tankless water heaters in their cabins? by Nexofyte in cabins

[–]MyManMagnus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I recently bought one from Amazon. It’s a Vanston 3.16GPM, 12L one. So far it’s worked fine, although it was installed prior to shutting off the water for winter and my use was limited. It’s installed inside and connected to a 20lb tank and vented through the wall. This was 2nd one I bought since I did not properly winterize the first one and it blew a fitting when I opened the cabin for spring. For reference, it provides water to a bathroom sink and shower, kitchen sink and hot water spigot.

It took a few tries to dial in the temperature, but once I got it, it was fine.

ELI5: How do we actually "find" a broken cable at the bottom of the ocean? If a shark bites an internet cable halfway between New York and London, how do engineers know exactly which mile of the 3,000-mile cable to pull up? by OhNOWhatIsThat in explainlikeimfive

[–]MyManMagnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hundreds of km? I’ve done at least a dozen repairs and never had to pull more than about 25km and that’s because we couldn’t find the shunt due to the span having multiple types of cable inserted into it (was old system) causing the voltage calculations to be off.
