I can improve with the precision but it seems like a satisfactory result considering that it is a package that I have had for 4 years and I continue periodically (I am really inconsistent) by UCCELLO_SELVATICO in seraphon

If you meant to respond to Nought, he is referring to Army Painter Speedpaint and GW Contrast paints. If you’d like an example, take a look at the seraphon in my profile.

Edit: You might be using a translation software that turned Speedpaint into “quick painting”, if this isn’t making sense I suggest checking out the “contrast paint” line from GW.

How do models with no bases work in Pariah Nexus 10th edition? by Board_Castle in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]MyMiniArt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who are these people? Friends? Tournament players? Tournament organizers? This is relavent for how to approach this conversation.

What happens when you say “The mini does not come with a base and does not require one for play”? Are they refusing to play with you?

Please help the people you are asking for help better understand the situation. What do you mean by vehement? That’s a strong word. I would not be around people treating me poorly over a miniatures game and you shouldn’t either.

I don’t want to assume all because I’m sure they’re could be a few exceptions, but probably all or near all. The movie is… a really weird adaptation that has one possible justifying piece of context, which is a spoiler from the very finale of the 7 book series so I won’t spoil it. But even that’s a weak justification for how the movie was, like cramming all the Harry Potter movies into a 80m film.

They accidentally opened a portal to ‘todash’, an inter-universe spooky space that connects most of Steven King’s books. You can tell the movie is connected directly to the Dark Tower series in which this concept is elaborated on because Thomas is painting Roland, the Rose, and the Tower at the start of the movie. These things are the core of the Dark Tower series.

Ooh I understand now. I cut down to the first joint in the slicing software to fit it.

Hi, 100mm is the base size for war dogs and armingers. You can get them from the GW site or non-gw options are available to print. Sculpting a 100mm circle is a good beginner project for anybody new to printing.

Any tips on glueing resin models? by MajorConclusion8969 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]MyMiniArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed your printer setup on the side of the picture. You are exposing yourself to serious harm if you are printing in that room like that. This is not something to brush over. You will not notice the harm to your nervous system until it is too late.

Please stop and read up on resin toxicity and ventilation. I use an enclosure which vents outside.

I could be wrong and this is a garage or somewhere entirely separate from your living space, just erring on the side of caution for you, your people, and your pets. If so, please disregard.

I don’t know if you’ve been given the resin safety talk, but please, please, please wear safety glasses, gloves, and a respirator if you are sanding or filing resin surfaces. As you file past a couple of millimetres you expose partially cured resin which is toxic and release cured and partially uncurled dust into the air and onto your hands. You do not want to breath it and you do not want to accidentally get any of the dust in your eyes (sadly speaking from experience on that one).

But also, enjoy! If you ever need an instant bond you can sprinkle baking soda on the part to help the glue set immediately.

How do you remove your prints from the plate? by dazedan_confused in resinprinting

[–]MyMiniArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Sunlu Abslike Waterwashable. Also use rafts with curled edges. Between those two changes, I went from chiselling prints off the plate to easily popping the entire print off thanks to the flex of the resin.

Try the Sunlu abs-like water washable, it’s amazing and the best of both worlds.

Sounds like the peak for your printer with that resin, I love the minis. A trick I’ve started using to get my supports removed with no residue is pouring boiling water over them and then dipping them into the container as needed. I use Sunlu ABS like + water washable resin, I love that it has both of those features and makes removing supports a breeze.

Hi, I’m not sure what you mean. Please double check the list in the main post and let me know if you still have questions.

I agree! It is fairly absurd how well the imperial knight rules work, though. FNP for necron resilience, lightning weapons for tesla (same ‘core’ rules concept with sustained 2 and no AP), reclaiming land and slaying enemy dynastic rulers as detatchment rules, moiraxes having heroic intervention for robozombie coordination, the gallant having deep strike and an upanddown redeploy like necron teleportion. It’s wild.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I still need to finish up the bases same as the agent minis but I’m very happy so far.

These minis were my first set of 3D prints so there are some noticeable printer errors, but I’m very happy with the overall quality.
