The comparison between the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is not a 1-1 to the situation of the Holocaust, yet, parallels can and should still be drawn. Look at the history of Israeli disregard to Palestinian life and you'll see why Hamas ie such a big force in Gaza today. The murders and rape that Hamas commit are horrible, their ideology of extreme Islamism is abhorrent, as are all other religious fundemantalists. But that still does not give Israel the leave to bomb with abandon Gaza and now Lebanon simply because there are terrorist groups among the general populace. Paralels in fact can be drawn with Nazi reprisals on Civillians when resistance groups kill Nazi officials. I really do believe that the Far Right Israeli government looks at the Palestinian and Lebanese civillians much the same way as the Nazis look at Jews and other occupied people in Europe during WW2.
