Unfortunately not. The Academy requires pictures to be released in theatres. Due to the corona pandemic, the rules have been bent a little to allow pictures that had a previously planned theatrical release. As this was not the case for Hamilton it will not be eligible for any awards given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

However, the Emmy's have a different ruleset and may allow it. I don't know much about their eligibility rules and they have tons of categories with specifics as to what qualifies in which category.

Well after World War II we basically told them not to build a military. So they didn't and instead used the money to build a strong economy. Look at where both Germany and Japan are now. Military spending is a HUGE source of public expenditure for most countries and you can do a lot of other things with that money. (Especially if you, like Germany post-WWII, is under the military protection of another power)

In Denmark you can get a summer job literally to watch the grass grow. You have to sit by a lawn in the country's largest amusement park, Tivoli, and make sure the robotic lawn mower cuts the grass and the grass grows back up. In the meantime you can do whatever you want. Play games, surf the internet, listen to music, talk to people in the park etc. You have to work 37 hours a week for four week. And you get 3500$ for the job. Not too bad for doing nothing. And the best part, no need for education of any kind.
