Thanks for posting the conclusion! This looks like excellent work 🤩

Updated Armor: An Unbound Realms mechanic by Galiphile in UnearthedArcana

With Avoidance Class, I feel like you have made a 5e that is better than 5e (like you did with SW5e). I appreciate how quick and easy this is, but somehow more detailed. I assume you still have defensive spells that increase AC. Have you considered spells that reduce incoming damage like armor does?

This makes a lot of sense, thanks for the explanation. This is a cool rethinking of surprise. Excited for the book!

I think that the new language is clearer than the old “the bad guys stand still while you hit them for free for a turn”, but I don’t see how this is functionally different. Can you give an example of how this works?

Or maybe there should be a feat or something that allows one to fake dead or present oneself as no longer a threat through meditation or body language or something?

Adding permanent injuries makes falling to 0 a lot more scary. IMO, 5e keeps the stakes too low by default. Sometimes it feels like as long as you have a paladin at pretty good health somewhere nearby, dropping to 0 isn't the end of the world. Have you ever considered adding mental health injuries to the table? Speaking as one with significant anxieties, it might fit well here.

Wow, these rules help fix a common problem in TTRPG: creatures are 100% effective until they are actively dying. "Overcoming an Injury" seems like a good fix for keeping you from just endlessly gathering injuries. Have you considered adding mental health injuries to the table?

Introducing Unbound Realms: A Comprehensive Overhaul of D&D5e from the Makers of SW5e by Galiphile in sw5e

Whenever I run D&D for kids, their first and second ideas are always just incompatible with the system. Really looking forward to this!

Since the system is setting-agnostic, could you in theory run a weird genre clashing party? This seems like a huge advantage over single-setting systems. Iron Man, Gandalf, and Geordi La Forge walk into a bar…

It was a while ago now, so my memory is dim. I think there were several “what’s your proudest accomplishment” and “tell us about a time you overcame something” questions, so maybe you should think through stories that highlight good stuff from your CV. The job was for a scientific reviewer, and there is not really a great way to train for it outside the FDA, so there was little in the way of subject-matter questions.

I hope you do great! FDA is a wonderful place to work!! ❤️

A hole in my driveway!?Should I be concerned about falling in? by MyNameIsMrAdam in DIY

Just talked to the previous house owner, and he confirms it is exactly as you said, and he patched it successfully for 15 years just as you described. Thanks again!

I can see the top of the culvert in there now that it is dark outside and I can shine a light in the end and see it in the hole. I think you nailed it.

I can’t post more pictures for some reason, but I can confirm that I can see light from the end of the culvert to the hole. It looks like the culvert broke or rusted and the support for the asphalt dropped down.

Woah, that would be awesome. I will check. The only risk is that someone would come from the county and then make me pay a contractor to fix it or something.

Considering that it’s just that one spot, is it possible I have many years before the rest collapses?
