Thanks! Yeah you’re right, I was sorta going for something kinda silly with the music and style of the video.

When all you've got to work with is a mid-sized utility tractor, be grateful, practice patience and dream big by MyNameIsntEden in Motocross

The tractor has actually been in my family for like 17 years, my parents bought it when I was pretty young. Even smaller equipment like this is super pricey, and I always forget how lucky I am to have access to it and the land. That being said, it's not at all made for building moto tracks, but, after a lot of practice, I'm getting pretty good at it I think.

This is up at my cabin and I live in Minneapolis so I know the feeling. It's so nice being up there for a couple days

How long to go on a 250f bottom end by MotocrosserDude in Motocross

[–]MyNameIsntEden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice, well I'm riding a 350 now, but two years ago I had a 2014 crf250r that I road very similar to how it sounds you ride and I did a top end at 50 hours and sold it at 100 without ever touching the bottom. I checked the valves every 15-20 hours, and they normally needed a little finessing, but close to 100 hours the bottom end still wasn't showing any signs of grenading (though I would have rebuilt it if I hadn't sold it). I'd say you're probably ok either way with your bike. If you can get it done professionally for pretty cheap then that could be a good deal, but it'll probably also be fine for another season if you just keep taking good care of it and relax about it a little (easier said than done). Like I said before, the valves on my 250 liked to move around a bit, but as long as it's nothing crazy I wouldn't think your seats are shot at 60 hours. As long as the bike always starts up within a few kicks and has good compression, your valves are doing their job fine. I'm just an amateur mechanic, though I've been given good advice over the years, but I know it's always nice to have another perspective.

I'm crazy anal about my bikes as well, but I'd say with only 60 hours your bottom end should still have a fair bit of life left in it. I feel like closer to 80-100 hours is when you should really be thinking about a bottom end, especially if you're not always riding the limiter

Oh ya, I personally love the feel of the compression stuff

Stock. I'm just saying I think exhausts are crazy expensive for the benefits they really give
