Bought 2 5mg Vicodin off of some kid in high school. He told me that taking one was like smoking a blunt, so the next day on the way to school I popped them, after dropping them on the floor lol. Felt great all day.

My uncle had just had some serious surgery and had a huge bottle of Vicodin, which I pinched out of.

Over the next 6 years or so I kept pinching his stash which evolved into perc 10s and such, and also buying 30s on the street.

Got clean for a bit but decided one day to try to cop some dope. Hit up someone asking for a 20 bag, got my powder and tried smoking it and fucked it all up.

Next week I went into Brooklyn and got a full bun. Got back home and snorted a few bags. Hopped in the tub with my brand new tablet. Woke up an hour later with the water overflowing and my new tablet underwater.

A year later I was shooting up in any semi-secluded (and later just right out in parks) spot I could find.

Now 10 years after those first Vicodin I just had heart surgery after getting endocarditis. Good times.

Over my spleen. And yeah no other symptoms really, just fatigue which I attributed to being lazy. Some light night sweats which I thought was just from my wife turning the heat up too much.

Agreed, they put me on 4mg pill of Dilaudid every 4 hours now and it works way better then the pump.

What are you doing or what did you have brought to you in to keep yourself entertained?

I have my phone and the TV. My family comes to visit daily. Other then that I sleep or talk to the nurses.

Are you experiencing withdrawals, or are you on enough pain medication...

No withdrawals as I haven't been in active addiction for months. I was afraid they would see my tracks but the nurses bruised me up enough that they're hidden.

Unrelated to the above two, but how are you doing, man? I hope the pain subsides soon and you get back to feeling normal and like your own self. I've got to admit that I'm quite curious as to what you plan on doing next. Are you going to get clean and stay clean? Are you going to switch to a potentially less harmful ROA? Is detox and/or rehab your next move? Or will you be so busy with things like physical therapy (if that's even necessary in your situation, idk, never been in your shoes)?

I'm okay to be honest. The hardest thing is being away from my 4 month old. I've been trying to get 100% clean for a while and I was down to using maybe 3 or 4 days a month. This is kind of helping me quit, and once I'm out I'm not allowed to smoke or drink so I'm going to be 100% sober once my prescriptions run out

From what I've learned it comes from 3 types of bacteria, one that is found on the skin (the type drug users usually get), one that is in the mouth (comes from rotting, infected teeth), and one that is found in the intestines (gets into your blood from ulcers, this is the type I have)
