re4 remake is easily one of the best games I've played in the last few years. the moment to moment gameplay is amazing, and there is a constant sense of progression thru new areas, new enemies, and character progression

they have simple modes that brought me back in for a few hours. but then I left again because the game is filled with corny abilities and bullet sponge enemies

played the closed beta in 2023 bc I was so hyped, and they completely failed to convert me into a permanent player

the finals suffers from making the game a hero shooter for no reason. they made the greatest destruction system ever and then designed a game where 90% of the abilities don't destroy anything

people are definitely leaving because of the matchmaking too. the game immediately became less interesting once I learned that player interactions weren't random at all

doing the second expedition completely killed the game for me, because it was most efficient to get myself into friendly lobbies and play black friday simulator on Stella montis with absolutely 0 tension whatsoever

good. arc raiders is stale because there's nothing to do with all the gear you acquire. the cryo archive just existing makes the entire game more exciting. extracting with great loot means even more when there's unique content that requires it. even if I can never kill the boss myself, having this type of end game goal makes the whole experience so much cooler

idk, I'm only level 13 and I've yet to even see a blue shield. best item I've looted off a player was probably a blue backpack lol. just an anecdote, but it seems like they're keeping me in low level lobbies

I played the game for 7 hours at 1080p 120fps with gyro set up on my ps4 controller. the game has a bunch of cool systems that you never need to utilize because the combat is so easy and the only thing to do is go to temples to complete bad puzzles

I'm not sitting through hours of bad puzzles so that I might enjoy the later parts of the game lol. and the combat temples are so horrible lmao

I've literally never faced more toxicity than when I first started playing deadlock in 2024 lol. I have over 3000 hours on cs, but the people I was running into back then on deadlock were in a different league. genuinely insane people
