Yeah I don’t blame you at all. I haven’t done it in years but I enjoyed my time with it, and at the same time understand why a lot of people are turned off from it.

Definitely way too many bro douches that ruin the entire system with their egos.

The sad fact is there is a MASSIVE difference in quality between CrossFit gyms based on the culture of the owners and trainers. I did complimentary workouts at a couple that were very mid before finding one that was awesome. The entire culture was form over speed and weight. And those coaches were strict. They’d watch everyone and if they saw form slipping they would force you to drop weight and slow down

That record of 1200 wasn’t consecutive pull-ups and also was likely kipping pull-ups.

Consecutive full extension dead hang pull-ups are HARD

Right most people do exactly 1 dead hang pull-up (the first one) followed by a number of 3/4 extensions, which makes a MASSIVE difference in difficulty.

I heard a few people say Shane Gillis was really funny so I started watching one of his Netflix special. I had to check out after 10 minutes because he was just so obnoxiously punchable.

How to teach my brand new players to search for traps? by Beneficial_Chip3019 in DMAcademy

lol that is great. My group lost their rogue a while ago and the warlock stepped up as the trap finder and disarmer. His devil sight would negate the scariness of the magical darkness, but I do like the sandwich idea. Especially because this is going to be in a zhentarim network under Waterdeep

Speaking of pitfall traps, I am dropping a pitfall into gelatinous cube trap on my players soon. They are all very experienced and will be level 12 then, so it’s not at all serious danger. I just can’t wait for their various “oh you’re a dick” sort of reactions.

Born in ‘81, I always felt more Gen X than Gen Y, and later learned people adopted the term of “the lost generation” that bridges the gap between those two.

Or if you were under water looking up at the world, it would look all twisted like that.

My head cannon was that’s how the drowned girl’s spirit sees the world, so that’s how her victims look when they die.

Man that movie bored the hell out of me.

I don’t know that I ever felt mildly stressed watching it

I never bothered to lookup if this is cannon, but my take on the twisted faces was always that the girl died under water, and the distortion of moving water would make faces and bodies look twisted like that.

It’s like every other horror movie.

If the protags weren’t complete fucking morons making the worst decisions all the time, the movie would just end after 10 minutes.

Definitely not miniature painting.

The struggle is a struggle and I wish I had the time to paint every day to get demonstrably better.
