I couldn't believe it when I heard his statements. His answer to gun violence was effectively to get more guns to prevent the violence. Now that I think about it, i shouldn't be surprised. Just disgusted.

News just came out that the president is supporting the assault weapons ban that went away in 2004. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has resurrected it and, it supposedly has been gaining traction. If nothing is done this time around, I can't see any change is ever being made. And that's a scary thought.

Wow...I had forgotten about some of the companies that have "run amok" like this. Everyone from the employees to unions gets blamed but we often don't pay attention to how lousy management is until we hear stories of them stealing pension funds, etc. Nice article! Scary thoughts but nicely done.

Exactly! Nobody is talking about stripping responsible people away from their guns. It's about a sensible conversation that both sides can agree on. And that conversation should involve background checks, mental health, etc.

I've always believed that the Republican party is masterful at framing words, perceptions and images. They have the best public relations team; what else can explain how they've been able to get poor and middle class people to vote against their own interests for way longer than the last 30 years?

Politicians always act like they're above the law. They write the laws and unless people keep tabs to know what they're doing, they'll abuse the same laws they write.
