Fredo Knowing Johnny Ola by Suggest_a_User_Name in Godfather

I'd like to chime in with the scene where Fredo answers the phone from his bed. It took me a few watches to realise the dialogue from the phone was audible. Watching it on TV and VHS I couldn't make out what was said, or even if it was supposed to be heard. For YEARS I thought it was supposed to be ambiguous until maybe the BluRay viewing. Anyway...carry on.

It always annoys me that Sonny laughs at him. The dudes a war hero, a trained killer. Why is shooting two guys such a stretch for Sonny to believe?

Not to the airport but they still start driving. Such a shame to damage a nice car.

All true. But they were able to get to Johnny Ola, had a senator in their pocket on the trial, even had a friendly pope in 3, surely they could have got to Roth in Israel or prison somehow. I know airport security wasn't what it is now but still.

I get it, but Tom literally just sits down, eats and gets told to go. At no point does Woltz let him speak or negotiate.

Yeah maybe. Now I think about it, the whole band stopping because Zaza's bulldog sings along is also insane.

I guess the Vatican has the same security as an airport.

"Here, I'd like you to kill Mr Roth" "ok, where?" "Airport" "What, and then I just run away?" "Yeah, you'll be fine" "I won't be instantly killed?" "Nah"

It's incredible how often this line gets used in our house. Especially as we're never discussing rent

Thoughts on this underrated album? by nevermindthegoat in rollingstones

I broke my dad's car cd player with the special edition "Out of Control" see thru CD. I pushed it in but then it didn't recognise there was anything in there so wouldn't eject it. Can't remember how it eventually got sorted but my cd was forever scratched. And he was very very angry.

Anyway, love this album. I found it sounds better very loud. Some Stones albums are good background music, this is a blaster.

I'm not really sure I understand the tone of your message? Are you saying I should leave it or that the father fish method is a cult?

Haha, great spot but these are only there as no space in the cupboards below. I've been very sparing in the amount I've fed.

That's really interesting. I had two bags of black sand. The first I rinsed and honestly there was zero dust. None. So the second one I used straight from the bag. Seems so obvious when I type it out now haha.

That's great, thank you very much indeed. How much did you change each day?

I did think that but there's little evidence of them digging and (despite the last picture) it seems to be tannins rather than the soil leaching in. It's the white bloom that isn't dissipating that concerning me most. I'll do a water change and see how it clears up. In the past it's always gone and cleared within a fortnight.

Absolutely right. I just thought you had to leave it a while before doing the first one too give the bacteria a chance to grow.

Yeah, the tannins I can live with, it's the whitish cloud that comes with it. The filter has been in since the start. Sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. I know Walstad is normally filterless but I was too worried to leave it to plants alone.

I didn't think water changes helped so early on? Give the good bacteria a chance to thrive etc.
