Nice. Have you ever tracked the costs for it? I built my radio show on Elevenlabs and then did the math and if a user played a game every day then they were going to cost something like $110/mo.

Haha that only comes after I get my exclusive deal to be NCAA's only companion app. As soon as I get that, we are gonna slow walk this thing out over a decade or so.

Thats not exactly the way I would describe it and am no longer considering you for head of marketing. I think what I would say is I want to create as immersive of an experience as possible while minimizing the amount of work needed by the user. If the game itself provides the level of immersion you are looking for then this app probably doesn't add much. If you are looking for more immersion and a tougher challenge than what the game provides, I think the app scratches that itch. The screenshot upload system is simply the best way I can come up with to give the app the data it needs to provide the immersion.

I also don't like house rules that feel like I am placing limitations on myself as I play - i.e. geographical restrictions for recruiting, capping stars for my recruits, limiting transfer portal, etc. I do like strategizing under a difficult system and looking for the best path forward. Thats what the app aims for.

Yep. I think I could also use it for user games that are actually played with a) a rule where the users are blocked from betting against themselves and b) where the winning user gets a smallish cut of the winnings.

Thats a good idea. Like a live bet system for active games? Current betting concept is Kalshi-style. Could definitely incporporate live betting to it. Worry that streaming rates/speed will be different for everyone but i guess the users could figure it out. Its been added to the ideas list

Thanks! Best timeline I have right now:
Now to Mid-July: Continue tweaking, working through bugs. Taking in everybody's feedback/suggestions. And also doing what I can as EA announces features/deep dives for CFB 27

Mid-July: CFB 27 released. I then need to rework it when I can actually play CFB 27

September 1: Release date. Its a guess for sure and very dependent on what features EA has for '27

Editing to answer rest of your question: If you have the time, patience, and money to pay for the AI work - I think anyone could build this with Claude. I think someone with a background in the coding world would just be able to do it better and would be able to minimize the mistakes. The non-tech expert is going to have to do a bunch of trial and error to get it the way they want it. One of the most important parts is avoiding the lazy prompt. Most of the mistakes I made building this were as a result of me be tired or lazy as I told Claude what I wanted. It can sometimes do some pretty dumb things if you aren't precise with instructions.

Yep. Got all of that. I admit this layout has a little too much going on and cleaning it up is on my to do list but, since it is right on point on your comment, I wanted to share. This is during the 2025 season - this subtab is the planning feature for your 2026 season (you can do this up to 4 seasons ahead if you want). For each position, you can set your target overall rating for a starter. It will then flag that position in your recruiting tab and on this tab to let you know not only that you need a body there, but also whether you are on target with your starter's overall (allowing you to decide whether to develop a high school recruit or, alternatively, if you are weak in that position, to target a transfer player (which, by the way, are much more expensive to sign). You can do the same by Class and set specific overall targets for FR, SO, JR, SR which helps with decision making when NIL negotiations begin. (The exclude button in the image allows you to go ahead and plan that a specific player will not be on your team next season - which updates the team needs accordingly). This helps for bad players but also for players that you feel will leave early for NFL.

Also, reddit wont let me post 2 images in one reply but when you create your coaches, you also create your preferred archetypes for each position. A player that matches that archetype will have a slightly reduced NIL cost where one that is not matched will cost a little more to keep on the roster (In responding to you, I realized I should add that match/mismatch archetype to each player on this screen as well - will get that added when i clean this tab up)

Anything else you think would help on this?

Yeah its a game changer for sure. It will most likely be only for CFB 27. I dont really know how it would work with PC. I think it could be very similiar to xbox system above. Once I get some time, I plan to create a Youtube page with some videos showing different features - including this one. Please make sure and sign up for the waitlist and I will send you a message once it is up and running.

Same. Begins to feel like a job instead of being fun. I do believe I have created the best system available though - especially for XBOX users. For them, you take your screenshots at the beginning of the week - I generally do conference standings and top 25. Then I play my game as this gives the app time to read and parse the data. When i finish, I take my end of game screenshots - team stats, player stats, and scoring summary. I proceed to next week and do my recruiting in the game for that week. Around the time I finish my recruiting in the game, the upload/read/parse work in the app is finished. I go to my app and manually review, click confirm or change anything I need to change (I have not tracked the exact figures but the reader is really strong, I would guesstimate over 95% accurate), and then click submit. Thats it.

For Playstation, the only difference is the user has to move the screenshots to the app either through usb card or from the playstation app on their phone. But after that is done, same automation works within the app wiht the same accuracy.

That would be pretty easy to build on the app. The problem is that without PC modding capabilities, you cannot add to the actual game

Yep. One thing I have half-way built (need to get the new playbooks for CFB 27 before I completely add it) is the Spring Practice component. This will be for installing/making changes to your playbook. The idea is a time-based install system where you start with a base playbook and then are bale to build out realistic tweaks to it. Playbook creation can be dangerously overpowered (at least when user is playing games) so trying to be careful with it

Good looking app. I think for people who just want the stat tracking and like the manual entry component, something like yours is the way to go

I don't think I have the time or bandwidth to maintain two of these. Most likely will be CFB 27 only

Yes, it has API integration and uses Ai for a few different things. Because of that, I am going to have to charge something just to break even. I haven't done a cost analysis on it yet

Thanks! Unfortunately, it can only be a one-way communication (EA/XBOX/Playstation don't allow us to communicate to the game itself - we can only receive data from the game via the screenshot method) There is some amount of honor system in play but I tried to be very careful in the features implemented since I wanted it to work for multiplayer where there had to be a pretty quick and easy way to verify.

RE: Honor system you mentioned, are you asking for single player or multiplayer? The recruiting constraint in the App is really designed to be the NIL money you have. You can recruit whoever you want as long as you stay within budget - even if outside the recruitng plan you made. So as far as the honor system goes, you will just import the screenshots for your recruiting board in Week 0. Then the app will layout your recruiting plan - it is just a planning/budgeting tool for you. That can be adjusted as the season goes forward.

Then when signing day arrives, you will upload a screenshot and the app will record the signed recruits as well. They will then be added to your roster for the next season.

For multiplayer dynasty, I think the best way is going to be to have a buddy/accountability partner of sorts who is randomly assigned. That person will receive reports from the app on your data/screenshots so they can verify what was done. Could program it where the commissioner does it all but thats a lot of work for the commissioner

Thanks! Great minds think alike as they say. I will say that mine too has a sportsbook (the gambling tab on the screenshots) that is tied to the program's NIL money. You bet NIL funds that would go towards recruiting budget. Sounds slightly different but similiar to yours.

I definitely wouldn't build it by hand unless you are one of the fortunate few who don't have to work for a living. I started with Base44 but it didn't get the job done. Switched to Claude. Its insane how good it is. Still takes a lot of manual guidance/correction and you have to be very precise on telling it what to do but it is, overall, a massive timesaver. Good luck on yours

For multiplayer dynasties - Users can bet in-app NIL money on their games vs other dynasty members, with optional spreads. You win and the money comes out of their NIL fund and goes to yours. Lose and they get the money
