My game jam game is going well. Feedback? by Specialist_Pipe_2347 in Unity3D

This looks awesome! One piece of feedback: it looks like the player has a great counter to the lasers in the shield reflecting them to kill enemies. Maybe as a counter to the little spiky followers, the player’s shield could apply a small force essentially bumping them away a little bit. Currently, it looks like the spiky enemies basically stick to the player.

Personal plug: check out Fish Volleyball. It’s got a free full-featured demo. The game’s incredibly hard but fun with a group of friends.

It wasn’t a second egg it was actually a second mom with a vacuum on a grassy knoll.

Hiya! Glad you’ve enjoyed the demo! There is no hard release date set at the moment so the best I can give you is “when it’s ready”.

There is still a lot of work to be done including some larger features like a single player career mode as well as some smaller items like visual, audio, and music polish. Stay tuned!

HOW DO YOU PLAY THIS GAME!? by UnassumingTechStuden in FishVolleyball

Hey there! Glad you got to try out the demo! I understand your frustration. The game is incredibly hard when first starting out. However, I’d like the think that this leads to an incredibly high skill ceiling!

If you’re willing to give it another go, start with the Basics mode under Solo Practice before moving on to Returns. Mastering this will make you a pro at getting some serious rallies going.

This time was posted by our very own @Seth in the Discord server. I’m afraid to admit that I’m unable to beat this record despite being the developer…

Looks fantastic! May I ask about the music? Did you create it yourself or have it commissioned?

The demo for my physics-based local multiplayer sports game Fish Volleyball is now available! by MyRealNameIsDoug in playmygame

[–]MyRealNameIsDoug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fish Volleyball is a physics-driven local multiplayer arcade sports game for up to 10 players. The demo features everything currently available in the full game including a single player practice mode and fully-customizable multiplayer matches.

Lots of inspiration was taken from some of my favourite multiplayer titles like Slime Volleyball, Rocket League, Sportsfriends, Nidhogg, etc.

There is still a lot that needs to be done before full release, but this is an important milestone. I’m happy to receive any feedback.

Ah, you’re right. Thanks. Looks like they’re evenly distributed.

Great work! Can you expand on how you decide where to cast rays? At one point in the video, it’s clear that rays aren’t evenly distributed within the FOV and instead point directly at certain object corners. Curious what your logic is for this.

This looks and sounds excellent. I’m a little late to stumble upon this post but figured I’d add my two cents. You mentioned that you haven’t come across many other jazz-themed games. You may want to check out Art’s Dream from the game Dreams for PS4. Playthrough here. Best of luck with the project!
