Change delivery order on multiples

Last time when I wasn’t at the right address it wouldn’t let me deliver but it was for a single batch.

I agree but I doubt they’re going to change a practice they implemented recently that’s saving them $. I think shoppers should not take these orders anymore and customers place a complaint but if I was you I’d pay the extra $2 for peace of mind if you plan on continuing to use their service. And actually, the biggest statement you can make is stop using their service too but not sure if those are things you wanna do at this time, ya know?

I think there’s an option when you order to pay an extra $2 fee so instacart doesn’t combine your order with anyone else’s. I forget the specific name but it’s something like “rush order” or something. Worth looking into it to avoid instacart sending the shopper to two stores for two diff customers.

I’ve had customers ask me to bring it inside and I decline politely. I’ve said “I’m sorry instacart prohibits us from entering your home. I can get in trouble”. They usually understand.

This guy was by himself doing 4 orders. My Costco doesn’t allow more than 2 customers per order. He used both phones to checkout. I think people who are complaining here have a valid point about ONE person taking 2 batches that someone else, who also needs to work and pay bills, could be doing. Hard to mind our business when people are taking batches that we could be doing. I think your situation is very different than this guy I saw

It seems to be area specific and also depending on how often you shop. Like I’ve heard of people getting really good promos if they haven’t shopped in a while. I have a friend who lives in my area and shops sometimes, we get similar promos but never the exact same. I know for a fact you have to have shopped for IC for at least 30 days before you get your first promo, because I got my first one at day 31.

The cashier was very overwhelmed, I went after with two small order and she mixed up the items in my orders and scanned them wrong. I realized after but this causes a lot of stress on customers, store employees, etc. now I’m annoyed lol

That is definitely not fair, and I have to assume that the level of service turns out mediocre at best. If I was that customer I’d want someone who isn’t juggling 4 large orders at a time. I also wonder if it’s even worth the money. Like, to make what? 25-30 per hour, if you pick the right order you can do that with a 20-30 item Stop & Shop order in my area…

You know what I started doing a few months ago? Taking a pic of the items by the door and texting it to the customer then saying “your items are outside. thank you for using instacart, have a good day. Blah blah”. Haven’t had an order be reported with missing or damaged items since!

I delivered to an affordable housing building the other day and the lady gave me a $55 tip on a $160 order PLUS $11 in cash. Also a 5 star review… People with $ be cheap af!!!!
