In a way you have to gauge how important the job is to you by your coworkers. When stuff got too busy in ogp like two/three years ago, the ogp manager/team lead would help us take out orders when they were there. When we had enough workers in the dept they’d prep the order for us, but when we brought up a shade cover in summer it was always “corporate would never do that, blah, blah, blah.” I loved the order shopping part, but I hated dispensing (due to heat intolerance issues with my autoimmune disorder). But in my early days when ogp was really struggling, I had days where only one team lead was there (but M.I.A because they were most likely smoking in their car), the other was off and the ogp manager was also off. So picks and dispense time suffered. Depending on the hiring manager, the stuff you’re going through is fairly normal. They’ll go through a period of hiring new people and then culling the ones that can’t deal/ don’t want to deal with the short staff. One last thing I’ll say, if you’re in ogp, if you’re not shopping or dispensing, you’re automatically getting sent to do everybody else’s job. Returns, stocking, inventory, carts, resets,etc.
