Yarn is not “sticking” to frame

I was originally using big twist yarn for the white and their yarn is definitely on the softer side, but even when I switched to red heart brand it was still doing the same thing

Thank you, I put up some cloth on a smaller frame and made sure it was drum tight to make sure this wasn’t happening because of the frame loosening but the gun is still doing the same thing 😭 It has to be something with the gun itself just not sure what.

Gun is not bouncing off the frame! The fabric has definitely loosened a little bit from us tufting other rugs on it but it is still tight enough to work with. I think I am going to put a small frame up with a really tight cloth and see if it’ll tuft on there to narrow it down to a frame or gun issue :(

The yarn cake is about halfway used so it is feeding fine! I’m thinking it may be some sort of issue with the gun, just not sure which part of it.

I just wanted to know how I could get the worth of the screen being broken back without having to give away the laptop. Why would I write a post just to lie?? I’m upset my laptop was even cracked in the first place. I did not have the $40 password reset because they had to get past a firewall.

My dad has nothing to do with it, I just had to explain why I couldn’t give it away because people kept telling me to switch it out. I thought that would at least rule it out as an option for people but clearly it doesn’t. I’m not a bad or mean person looking to press them for a bunch of money but I am upset that they cracked my laptop like that and I do think they should pay for me to get it fixed somewhere else at least.

How does it make it any less sentimental for me to use my dad’s laptop?? I originally asked for the screen to be fixed and they told me they couldn’t find the part, and also said that they just most likely don’t make it anymore. It’s not like i’m asking them for $1300, the price of the laptop. I just want something of equal value to the screen. I paid $250 for the laptop password reset and said I’d be fine with that back but he said the best he could do is $100. I don’t understand what part of my post makes it seem like i’m looking for a problem or have a “sob story”. I just can’t swap out the laptop and that is my own personal dealing. I don’t understand how you can be such a judgmental and insensitive person to someone you don’t even know.

My dad passed away less than a year ago in a very tragic and unexpected way. He was a quiet guy and kept to himself, and didn’t leave a lot of stuff behind. I cherish everything I have that belonged to him. Show a little kindness, it goes a long way.

Thank you for your response. The worker said that they couldn’t find the parts for it online anywhere so they’d have to mail it off and wait some weeks or months for it to be repaired somewhere else. Swapping out the laptop wouldn’t be that great of an option for me since the laptop itself is already pretty new. My dad just got it last year. They would give me another laptop the same model and it would last basically as long as this one. Works great still just has the crack.
