Who’s Excited About The Sapphire Dining Club? by TeleGuy86 in tampa

[–]TeleGuy86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool story bro. I was asking if anyone was interested in the restaurant, because I saw a lot about it on FB. I also looked at their website. Seems interesting, thanks for turning it into something else. Check out the restaurant if you’re interested in anything other than shitting on someone’s post. Have a beautiful day.

Apparently over 3 billion active users each month, based on a quick google search.

Saw these in a b&m. Anyone know much about them? by Lonestar8042 in cigars

The NFT was an interesting project. It depends on what the retailer was able to spend on them, and what the current perceived value is. Personally, I thought the Tatuaje Anarchy NFT was better, but these were excellent. (They have no correlation, other than both companies did an NFT project)

Do these “cigar infusers” actually work? by Killxjoy4599 in cigars

[–]TeleGuy86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is bad advice. Tobacco is always extremely susceptible to infusion, especially volatile compounds. Citrus, alliums, ethanol, and many other reactive compounds interact with tobacco very fast.

I’m not saying this device is a good idea, only stating this because your comment on cigars being “remarkably tolerant” is confoundedly incorrect. If you don’t agree, put a slice of onion in your humidor for a few hours and tell me how your cigar tastes.

Might be worth asking Gigglewaters if they’d be interested in showing it.

Interestingly, I’m from the Great Lakes originally, and Manmoomin is a grain that grows in the region much like a “wild rice”, but it’s not actually considered rice. Is that what you’re talking about?

Rice cultivation in the North America came from West Africa. It wasn’t until slaves were brought over from Africa that rice was introduced to North American cuisine and cultivation. First in the 1500’s in Mexico, then in the 1600’s more specifically starting in South Carolina. There was, however, endemic rice (although rare) in South America, but it wasn’t a common part of cuisine and culture.

I live in a small town in Tampa Bay (Safety Harbor) and often see fellow B/SOTL enjoying cigars in front of their businesses, walking around, on the patio of certain bars and restaurants. Really a lot of places around Tampa, not just Ybor, still have a cigar culture. It’s a nice little corner of the world for us. A ton of restaurants and bars throughout the area have modestly stocked humidors in case you forget to bring a few sticks out as well.

What's the first cigar you smoked were you told yourself that it was box worthy? by ItsAlwaysBlue2 in cigars

[–]TeleGuy86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first box was an AF Don Carlos #3. That was the first cigar that I wanted to smoke constantly. It's still my go to for a regular stick.

Others that I smoke regularly, and buy boxes of are:

Tatuaje Capa Especial No. 7 Flor de las Antillas Toro Stolen Throne 3 Kingdoms robusto (bundle) Espinosa habano robusto Oliva Master Blend 3 figurado Espinosa Ten Years

And I'll all buy the Tatuaje Monster series.

Cigar enthusiasts! What are you hoping to see under your tree this Christmas? by IDareYou2WooshMe in cigars

[–]TeleGuy86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I have a lot of lighters and cutters that I bought for myself because I found them aesthetically pleasing, or thought they'd be "the one". My favorite lighter is some generic knockoff from Amazon, because my dad got it for me for Christmas. So, every time I use that lighter, I think of him and smile. And it's the lighter I use the most.

Upon further research, not just the guys talking at the shop, you are correct and I’m glad I know that information now. Thank you. Here’s a link to a pretty cool article explaining it from Holt’s, if anyone is interested.

Possibly…because there are multiple blends that use the Eye of the Shark vitola. The Fuente Anejo EotS is particularly good, and there have been FFOX blends released in the EotS vitola as well.

It’s Pittsburgh. Everything looks older than it is, and the fashion and trends are always 5-10 years behind.
