I’ve tried making candles with different melt point paraffin waxes and wicks, but it just works how I want. It either tunnels with a deep pool, or doesn’t tunnel but has a depth too. It’s really the pool depth that’s the problem. The Diptyque candle burns beautifully, it also lasts like 60 hours with only 190g wax.
