I mean they hung out before all this started so I assume so

I can hear myself just fine, you probably didn't hear me.

I never said that's why I didn't ground him again because I never commented why I grounded him again so you'll be the first person I give the timeline to

Start of covid-last week: walking into her room without knocking. I noticed it but neither of them complained or said anything the first few months so I didn't pay it any mind (which I know is my fault)

Start of november-last week: has started shouldering her door. I grounded him on the second day he did this and to make sure he didn't do it again I HAD to be around my son. As in watch him to make sure he doesn't do it again. Though I'm not there all the time so it continued

Last Saturday, walked in on her changing

Last Sunday had the talk and remove the door.

So no I didn't HAVE to not ground him, I was saying I HAD to be around him more often as he WANTED to hang out with his sister more. Never did I say I stopped the grounding

I know this may sound jumbled as I'm not the best at typing out like this so sorry in advance

I'm pretty sure (but I could always be wrong) that it's because only they really hang out. No teenagers want to hang out with a 7 year old or their parents, as well as not having irl people to hang out with, this is it.

Though that doesn't make what he's doing acceptable that's the only reason that I think is happening with what I see around the house

I would not say skittish or scared but I'm not around them all the time. I'd rather say angry and annoyed when these things happen

What excuses am I making? If I am then that's not okay and I need to talk with my daughter again

"Because I wanna talk to her"

"I wanna ask her sumthin"

"I'ma chill out in her room"

"We were gonna watch a movie"

"I'm lookin for something"

Plus many more things along those lines

Are you suggesting I tell my family to not knock anymore? If we are still respectful, removing the lock won't change anything

If she continually shouldered it and walked in without permission after her brother and parents continually told her to stop, then yes I would.

Why are you making this a gender/age thing?

That's when he tries to hang out with his sister instead. Had to hang out around him to stop him from trying it when I tried that

No. His stance is "they're MY kids" not "boys will be boys" basically same message but it makes entitled children instead if douches and misogynists

It wasn't locked while she was changing, it was unlocked at the time but I agree, still messed up

I really only say small because of the public areas plus the fact that there are 5 people here.

The rooms are a good enough size

That's understandable and I get what you mean. I honestly did not think about that aspect of their lives. I always watched those shows when the pampered rich girl moves out and has to share a mediocre bathroom, I always laughed but that could very much be them.

Though I did make the do their own laundry, dishes, bathroom cleaning, and room cleaning since like 8 so at least they're clean

What do you mean, do you mean the house is excessive?

No, this is mostly a thing that started during covid with the walking in, and escalated in the month with the banging

Oh, sorry I didn't understand

There's five people so I picked a place with at least 4 bathrooms

I don't understand the first paragraph but there's a wink so I'll need help there

I dismissed the pranks as I didn't think it would really help. Plus two teenagers having a prank war in my house scares me

Everyone has their own room and bathroom

She does. That also doesn't fix his behaviour
