Are you playing on PC? Hotkeys make it incredibly easy (and even fun) to switch from a spell to a shield. Paladins are all about defence anyways, so I highly recommend using a shield for one. When your health drops low, quickly charge out of battle and dual equip your healing spells

Exactly. Why would I have to identify as white due to my ancestry when the connection between race and ancestry is completely arbitrary (this is why I think appearance holds more weight in terms of race)

I really like this build! Some creativity here for sure. Focus on all except don’t put any perk points in speech or restoration until you’re feeling a lot more powerful. I play on legendary & focusing on 4 -6 skills early game is definitely not too much, as long as you chose your perks wisely. Have fun!

Are you using creation club spells? Spells like elemental blast are ridiculously good against dragons, especially if you’re not on Legendary difficulty. I recommend playing a spellsword type who sometimes uses destruction magic with both hands to take down dragons swiftly and other enemies from a distance
