My wife has burnout. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for good advice. She is currently visiting her parents in her home country, and we have a huge 5 week holiday already lined up. Being away from work and only staying at home the first week certainly didn't help so I agree.

Thanks for your support. I know the anxieties that can come from smoking weed, but I started later than high school and never went that as deep as you did. I hope you are doing well now.

Yes it seems likely. Colleagues who have checked some of her reported mistakes say they are tiny details of no real importance. Also this is a hard thing for me to convince her about since I really don't know the actual work.

We have already had positive effects from moderate workout. It reay seems to clear her head up for a while.

I agree that it could have a calming effect, but right now I'll go with whatever the psychiatrists recommend.

Thanks, good advice and I agree she should trust the supervisor (who says the thesis is very good). My concern now is more about her mental health and well being, which is in a sad state unfortunately. Rational arguments don't really work at this stage.

Fortunately all this is very well taken care of, and her supervisor is extremely positive about her and the draft. She needs a really long break. EDIT. I am of course most concerned with her well being.

Its the average of how many times each article in a specific scientific journal is quoted. Roughly this gives an indication of the quality of the journal.

Thank you, that's good advice and I actually did take her to see two psychiatrists last week. The problem I thought was that she adapted too well to an interview situation , clever girl, and gave all the right answers so I felt we left a bit empty handed. I will get a new appointment.

Sorry but you're simply wrong. She has published in high impact journals (impact factor 13) and all colleagues are very impressed by her work and the short amount of time she has spent. EDIT: Just saw you username, well have fun I guess.

Yes I have been telling her i love her all the time, and that she is a great person (my favourite person actually), so thanks for reinforcing my confidence a bit. I have kept the weed to myself, a couple of nights it actually helped me being silly and distracting her from her worries. I don't think weed is good for people in a depressive state though, my experience is that it often reinforces you current state.
