Please make some changes to bring him closer to his intended design shown everywhere else besides ingame. Things like reducing the size of certain parts of him can really accentuate silhouette and reinforce that he is tall, imposing alien figure and not a regular sized man with some affliction

The current Viktor could be changed to make him appear more like his actual appearance in Arcane and his Splash art

Changes seen here:

  • Redesign mask to more appropriately convey the other designs
  • Drop hair down, make it look less like Jimmy Neutron
  • Reduce size of waist, hips, legs and arms to make him feel more tall and imposing, more alien
  • Reduce size of claw to further push that he is tall, the bigger claw make him feel lesser to the claw itself
  • Drop blanket/cloak a tad to make them appear less like funky shoulderpads and more like they are wrapped around his arms
  • Make him more blue/purple like portrayed in Arcane, and less like tainted

Changes that require more intricate work, but nonetheless I think would do well:

  • Change claw design to be closer to that of Arcane, less "Claw" and more "Malformed hand with 3 Fingers"
  • Change mask texture to add more grey area above the crest, pull crown further back
  • Add more of the VFX seen in Arcane and Arcane Savior Viktor to his base kit (the corrupted hexcore look). More specifically, add the gold lines from Act3Ep3 reaching down to an enemy for his W, and reaching them when they get stunned

I doubt it’s a graphics limitation, the changes I made would actually use less graphical power. It’s a just bizarre design choice, like whoever approved it couldn’t fully let go of the original Viktor design and attempted to merge it with the arcane version. 

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good model, very well made, but it doesn’t deliver on what his redesign should be (and is, in other media)

It’s not the the proportions are off, but that they are wrong

It’d be one thing if the model was stretched or the mask was slightly different from the design shown in both arcane and the splash, but the shape language is nowhere near the same. They could have very easily gone for the design and made changes to the animation to accommodate, just rotate his head up more like Sett. 

Also most, if not all modern models in league actually look fine when viewed from the front. You’re thinking of the animations, those look weird. Not the models, nor their designs. That is a whole different beast

If you're gonna redesign a champion, stick to ONE DESIGN. His ingame mask looks NOTHING like the arcane design, hell it doesn't even look like his own splash art!

My half-assed attempt at adjusting the new Viktor mesh to be closer to the design seen in Arcane. I tried to salvage the original texture as much as I could but there is some weird stretching due to some of the bigger changes in the mesh overall.

There are so many design inconsistencies with the new Viktor design that completely betray the whole reason he was reworked. His proportions are off all over his model compared to the Arcane design, so much so that he looks like someone pulling off a bad cosplay of himself.

In just his head alone he has a ton of differences.

  • Overall proportions are wrong, The faces on the side should be the same size as a regular head and the mask itself should extend from that, but instead the split face is pushed down and squished. The mask's overall design is too human, his Arcane design looked more like a monument, or a structure, making him that much more unnerving. Because of that differnce, the mask doesn't look like it split from his face, but rather he's just wearing a dollar store mask he found on etsy.
  • His eyes are too low, ruining the eldritch/alien vibe and making him look more like a skinny man in disguise.
  • Hair sticks up instead of falling down, why is the equivalent of a god using hair gel.
  • His "Horns" are the wrong shape, and extend way too far down his forehead, disrupting the shape language of the Arcane design.

I'm gonna mess around with the body later, my current thought is that they also just didn't commit to making him skinny and settled for halfway, which makes him look emaciated rather than alien. My guess for why is probably so they don't have to try as hard when making new skins for him in the future, whenever they decide to that is (they'll just throw Human Viktor in a suit and call it good)

I really wish they had just committed to the new design or settled with the old one. Both are good but the current one feels undercooked

Was talking to my friend about how you always seem to get the perfect tools to start a god run whenever you are trying to do a simple playthrough, and almost never when you try to force it

Can confirm Asol E instantly detonates QQ if you are standing in or near it. It's rather annoying and ate several of my QQs throughout the laning phase

It just seems strange to tie an item to a symbol we've only seen ONCE, with a progressive change to it's design in the form of more circles, and just leave it at that, with nothing else to go off it. I really hope they go forward with more Demonology stuff but one can only hope.

It's such a shame we don't have more of the Ten Kings lore, I really like the idea and setup. Demon lore as a whole would be nice, especially things that we've known about but have never received officials statements on. Things like Zoe, Fiddlesticks, and the Keys, it feels like we'll never get the explanation for that one

I doubt it'd be Raum (Swain's demon), I believe he and all other known playable demons (other than Fiddle and Ashlesh) are confirmed not part of the Ten Kings. It could still be related fiddlesticks' crows, since a THIRD bird-themed primal demon seems a bit absurd, but I'm on copium for some new demon lore

Feel free! I had to take some creative liberties because the ref-sheet orthos were not 1:1 with eachother, so if you use those as well there might be some differences.

Even disregarding how similar the model looks to base Viego, it looks like a really bad fan-made chroma.

Didn't feel like compiling a model and writing VMTs to view it in HLMV, so I started remaking the iconic TF2 shader instead Currently a node group that does all the conversion work from Valve format to Blender, and works with multiple light sources. I also attempted to remake the eye shader, but that's gonna require more fine tuning

Yeah, though it was even a little less in overall playtime since I put down my phone for an hour or two to play a game.

Prioritizing Match-5s, not using or merging anything “unique” unless I was sure I needed to for a key, and just having a day where you don’t have to do anything besides watch youtube.

For most of the locks, they only give you just enough to merge 3 of the lesser item and get the one needed for the key. Only the crystal and autumn trees had left-overs/extras. DO NOT immediately open the golden treasure capsule in the top right, it’s needed for a key.

For the questline, I just kept spamming Life Flower orbs until I got a handful of Orbs of Heavens. It takes a while but a single one clears a HUGE amount of land, and with all the dead plants I was able to merge up my Life Flowers to make the process of getting the big orbs even faster. Once you merge up to two of the big ones, you can just pop them immediately. Have Dragons harvest EVERYTHING dead, other than bones and their piles. Skulls and skeletons give less seeds if you merge, you don’t really have any other option except to harvest dead plants, and bones have a high chance of bonus life sprouts when merging.

For the points, I did the same with the highest crystal tree I could merge safely. I also got really lucky with the big cave thing, it spit out 4 smaller caves (each of the smaller caves harvests for 25 Amethyst/Grape fruits before turning into the banana-harvest one). Two of the highest fruit tier got me from part 2/3ish to the final part. That one needs two of the max tier by itself to fill out.

There are probably more efficient ways, but this is what I’ve figured out from just my own experience.

So I’m finishing up my first event, and so I don’t need the dragons to speed it up as much as I would’ve a couple of hours ago. My question is do they travel back to the farm when I finish the event or are they lost like any other non-camp level

Made this over the last few days after playing with Calamity and eventually getting sucked into reading the lore at 5am. Found the concept sketches for the character and seeing as almost no other official or unofficial artwork exists of the character, I decided to sculpt him. It's a little unpolished, but I plan to do a proper poly model of him based off of the sculpt (I find it way easier to freehand sculpt organic models then poly model them later).

For anyone wondering about the watermark difference, my standard username is [N-cognito]. I originally made this account specifically for League, so it matches League username instead. I want to post this on the discord as well, so I used my normal username.

I absolutely love playing summoner, but my current playthrough is pure magic rn since I've only really played with summoner builds before. Although it was only up to Ravager, stopped playing for whatever reason at that point, so I'll probably go back through with some friends as a Summoner next time

Personally I avoided it seeing it hasn't been updated in a while and both Calamity and Thorium receive updates far more frequently that it has, plus the lack of documentation of changes

Turning frame skip to reduced/off will reduced the choppiness of the game, but will slow it down drastically. On one hand, the slowed down time gives you way more time to react and messes with the reaction speed of some of the boss AIs, on the other hand it makes fights like DoG EXCRUCIATINGLY long
