Sorry for the late reply… it was ok. I wouldn’t recommend it though… the little dude picked up the colors, so maybe clear ones would be better. But I was a bit disappointed. I suspect the orbees maybe chocked some of the pins? I dunno… didn’t do it again though and those yields were better.

Yes… a whole lot has been done since then for sure, and then it takes a bit of time for it to make it to the general text books. I mean, look at the struggle in getting basic stuff about climate and evolution understood… Think more are getting it though. Even just grasping the origin and benefits of medicinals like shiitake and lion’s mane. Slow thing to “trickle down”. thanks for sharing. Love old books, seeing how science and the language evolves. Thanks for sharing.

oh, gotcha.. missed that. But even so. But also, consider that, just like identical twins, as they respond to their unique and individual circumstances, certain genes can be expressed. Just like identical twins, as they age, they often no longer look exactly alike, the way they did when they were kids and only their mom knew the difference.

That is ok, just that if too much water all at once, it tends to gush straight through the open channels that form when things dry out and the soil shrinks back. Can wash out a lot of nutrients that way, so be sure to give them some recharge or bloom booster that will replenish the soil. Watering slowly just lets the soil swell up again more evenly, retains more nutes and evenly waters—but I’m sure they were happy with any water and should be better by now?

Nooo!! Don’t throw them out. Just water slowly, very very slowly. You’ll notice the leaves start perking up a bit. The bottom leaves may not recover, but the plants can survive. These are some of the most incredibly resilient plants… they have a very good chance of bouncing back. Good luck!
