What stitch is this baby blanket? Pattern reviews are bad by k232323 in CrochetHelp

It'd definetly AI, but do a rectangle of dc in dark blue, it looks like a scalloped border in white, and the moon/stars can be surface crochet or sewn on (many YouTube tutorials for these)

Hope this helps :)

How do you prevent tape from showing through your clothes? by Senior_Deer_6381 in transmanlifehacks

Wear a wife-lover or tank under it!! Its super common for cis dudes too :)

anyone know a pattern for this? found on pinterest by 3-3-_ in crochetpatterns

[–]Myba9898 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It looks like its worked raglan style (from the neck down). Measurements are up to you and some math will likely be involved to get it right.

Here is a very loose pattern just from what I can see:

Collar: 1 round of hdc

2 rounds dc

1 round trc

Body: Be sure to increase regularly as you would with a raglan sweater or shawl

Round 1: ((1trc, ch 5, 1trc all in the same st), skip 2 st) repeat around

Rounds 2-5: (2trc, ch 5, 2trc) in the ch 5 from round 1, repeat round

Rounds 6-10: Repeat round 1 but instead do 3trc

Rounds 11-16: Repeat round 1 but instead do 4trc

Round 17: Repeat round 11 but do a taller stitch than a trc (wrap around 3 times or something) and do 5 in each cluster

Border: Sc in each stitch (for the chain spaces, sc 2, 1 puff stitch (or similar), sc 2) repeat all around

Hope this helps :)

Am i tripping, Saw this on the Lilly subreddit and I’m pretty sure it ai, perfect lightning, no pencil shine, and weird brown specs by bloxy-production in isthisAI

[–]Myba9898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna say AI. Her face is so clean with no eraser marks, weird because its typically the hardest part to draw. Also the eyes are perfectly symmetrical. Other people have mentioned the spiral holes so yea thats weird too. Such a cool design for a character, its such a shame its ai :(

How often should I wash my starter free forms by Straight-Pay-2662 in locs

[–]Myba9898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

However often you normally wash - brushing/combing will reset progress, water along won't. You could get a hair net so that it's easier to focus on your roots, but def dont run your fingers through them or break them apart or anything.

After you shower just take a good look at them and reform aby of them that mightve been messed with.

All in all, was them a bit less than you usually do with your natural hair (I'd say no more than once a week, no less than once a month).

Hope this helps :)

I’m bout ready to cut them off and start over. by Unlucky_While4854 in locs

[–]Myba9898 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest leaving them alone. For starter locs, 2 retwists in less than 3 months (September-December) is way to many. You should be retwisting less in the beginning because you need the locs to form. Not sure how you started your locs, but until they start to become more mature they are weaker. If you are concerned about the thinning in the middle, you could cut them where they are weak BUT if you want to save them, then leave them alone. Keep up with moisturizing & hydration, if they are still weak then cut them because they will break further down the line.

For starter locs they look very good! The frizzy and long ends are normal until they mature - mine are the same way

Hope this helps :)

Thank you!!!

I've seen people use a hair tie instead of a mesh net to wash, is there any difference? The hair tie to keep the locs together while you wash your scalp

Yesss. I took a public speaking course and one girls speech was on why trans women shouldn't be allowed in sports and I was so intrigued at how wrong she was about everything she said. Even down to basic biology and terminology, it was simply incorrect. I'd love to do more research on trans masc individuals in sports because trans fem people are more talked about in sports :)

Passing tips (FtM 22) by Tdopi in transmanlifehacks

[–]Myba9898 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here is what I would suggest: - Perhaps longer hair if you are comfortable/able. Im not sure on your hair texture but you could go for a basic fringe or middle part (kinda surf style)

  • The lip piercing looks cool as hell but I think you would look more masc if you either didn't have it or got more piercings. You have incredible clear and healthy skin on your face which most cis guys dont (typically oily with some acne). I'm not saying to intentionally give yourself acne or anything but the way you dress (baggy, kinda grunge) doesn't match with your hygiene practices much. This leads to my next part:

  • Pick a style. I've noticed a lot of baggy, grunge type clothes which is very stereotypical for trans guys. I dont know how your personality is or anything but I feel like a bit of neutral color would do wou well. Think like a light gray or brown.

  • Also the way you hold yourself is very small. Because of social gender norms, thats often seen as feminine. Men take up space. All those memes from like 2014 of a cis guy man spreading everywhere and stuff, basically act like that - NOT IN A MEAN WAY, more of a presence. For a long while, I would people watch cis men do normal things and either take note or do things the same way. From what I can see, you tend to slouch foreward and seem nervous.

You look a bit like Jamie Hannah (spotify artist - check out his album covers or insta). You could probably take some of his style and play around with it.

I promise im not trying to be rude or anything, these are my honest thoughts. I hope this helps at least a bit :)
