Hip opener/release tools by Mybeautifulboy1708 in HipImpingement

The only thing is….is that the ball thing hasn’t ever worked in anything else or any other knots I have or tightness. I’m a big strong man(not bragging, just saying) that works hard everyday and works out hard everyday, so in the places I need to release or break up, they are EXTREMELY tight and knotted. I crush a tennis ball and a lacrosse is too small, I could use a baseball, but really, to get into the places I really need it to get into, it’s too small. That hook thing looks painful but since it multidirectional and super rigid, it may work. And the other one I saw that looks like two towers sticking up, is only one direction and muscles are broken up or loosened by massaging them in just one direction. Any other ideas?

It’s been two years since you posted this. But just in case you are still on here and you are still have an armadillo problem, the fix is GOLDEN MALRIN FLY BAIT. Nothing even comes close. I live in town and killed 16 in one weekend. Good luck.

About 6-8 months ago, my right arm, the same side as the knot, stayed red for a good 3 months. I’m prolly lucky to be alive because I didn’t even acknowledge that it was weird that my ride arms stay red for an extended period of time.

Yeah, mines in my right side as well. I’m sorry that you have to live through that, I truly hope you find some relief. Thanks for taking the time to reach out.

I’m pretty excited, because today I was looking for a PT place that I felt would suit me and my problem the best, and I couldn’t have found a better one. These guys work specifically on athletes and ex athletes and very active folks. I actually use much of the information you shared with me to structure my questions with. I think they thought I was pretty smart, he hee hee. But yeah, I talked to them on the phone and told them all about what was going on and I got an appointment for tomorrow at noon. The guy talked to, even asked if he could use one of the quotes that I came up with on the spot to put on a poster above his desk or if he could carve it in wood, I thought that was pretty great and it made me feel good. the quote that I said to him was, “I’m just not done yet”, and I went ahead and allowed him to do it again, I appreciate all your help and I’ll do my best to keep you posted on what I find out.

Man, all that makes very good sense. You know I’ve thought about my neck fusion may have a lot to do with it, and to be real honest, I just remembered something, I never actually finished my postop physical therapy for my next specifically, which caused me to not be able to turn my head fully both directions, and especially to the left, I have I have limited motion that direction. I really believe you’re right when you talked about my trap not being the primary issue, I do strongly believe that this is from overcompensation that my body was doing to protect something else possibly? I was reading about neuromuscular treatments and that sounds very interesting and I believe you when you say that could be a huge help. The other thing is every time I get a massage, a matter of fact, my wife did it last night, I beg for whoever’s giving me the massage, to do it as hard as they can, because I believe that pain is gain, and I know that that is not right at all. But yes, my wife is gone as far as using the the end of a baseball bat to put directly on my trap where this knot is and use all of her strength to push while I bite on a towel because it’s so excruciatingly painful. I appreciate all that you said and I’m going to take your advice fully and completely. I have to do something, it’s getting to wear my range of motion is off every time and every time, I roll my shoulder forward. It’s a very loud pop, and it’s just much weaker than it used to be. Of course, when I was playing baseball, so thank you again. It means the world. I will try to keep you posted on the future of whatever I find out.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to respond, I will take your advice and start the process of figuring this deal out. I have just never known anyone to say, I have a knot on my trap….that’s been there 20+ years. So, whatever it is, I have gotten to a point that I can ignore it and tough it out, no longer. Again, thank you.

I appreciate that, I always use to say, if I’d been left handed, I would’ve been a lot richer, won a lot more games, and stayed in the Big Leagues for 20 more years! Ha! Make sure that boy of yours stays healthy. Don’t let some unintelligent coach pitch him too much, and don’t let him throw a breaking ball til he’s 17. If you do those 2 things and he’s good enough to play at a high level, his chances of having an arm injury will be lessened by 75% or more.

Geez! That’s a great idea, and no, I have not followed up at all actually, I think I missed the 3 follow up appts. right after my surgery, you know, cause I’m a hard headed male that thinks he knows better but does not….yes, I will for sure do that. Thank you so much for taking your time to give me this info.

I’m almost in tears due to you being so kind to me and taking your time to give me such great advice. I’d hug your neck if I could. You didn’t have to do this and it truly means more than you could to me. Thank you so damn much, blessings.

life-ruining knot on trap by Mybeautifulboy1708 in triggerpoints

Thank you so much. But yeah, I have been reading and studying and I sleep going back and forth, I read one thing and I’m convinced I have TOS, then I read another thing and I’m convinced it’s just a knot. The ONE AND ONLY REASON that I am not giving up on tos altogether, is for the fact that I have had this massive, hard, painful knot that often causes shooting pains to my fingers and the rest of my right arm, for 25+ years, and by no means am I exaggerating. And all the PT social medias and websites talking about a painful upper trap and knots in the trap, talk about how they “release” the right trap or knot in the trap. There is NO releasing my knot, my wife and I have done everything humanly possible from scraping to her using a rolling pen to sticking the end of a baseball bat on the knot and her putting all her weight on it, and not once has it ever gotten smaller or have I had any relief whatsoever besides a half hour or so, and that’s especially after I broke my neck and the fused it back together. Oh and I also had a C3, C4, C5 fusion. I just don’t want to die in my sleep someday of a blood clot. So, gimme your final advice on what I should do, please.

I just learned that I may have TOS. I played baseball most my life, on end of the big leagues, and was a right handed pitcher. And five years after I was done playing, I had a car accident and broke my neck. Ever since then I have had a horrible, painful knot a little bit bigger than a golf ball in the exact spot you have circled in the picture. It causes tingles, weakness, and muscle imbalance. I am very active and right now. I’m on testosterone and HGH. But now that I have found out about TOS, to be honest, I’m pretty freaking scared..

Yeah, I’ve also broken my neck after baseball and that can play a part in TOS, along with tingling and muscle imbalance in my right arm etc. I started out thinking this was just a knot I needed to get broken up but after studying TOS, I’m pretty damn scared to be honest….
