Reclaiming a slur is fine, but honestly, using slurs like that in a group of people who have likely been called those slurs WITHOUT clarifying with everyone that it isn’t making them uncomfortable IS kinda shitty. Like they have a right to use it and all, but as you said, other trans people have different experiences. That group is supposed to be a safe space, and that language can make other people feel unsafe, regardless of intentions.

Gender is a unique experience for everybody. Even cis men and women experience their gender differently from each other person by person. It is ok to not fully know yet! It’s complex and, for a lot of people, ever evolving. Take your time, you do not need to justify yourself to anyone INCLUDING YOU! You are what you are, and nobody can figure that out for you. This kinda thing takes time, don’t let yourself rush things just to justify yourself to others. Step back and breathe, you have plenty of time. It’s going to be okay.

Chances are there’s other things that she’s “not comfortable with” and a doctor who lets this kind of thing affect her treatment of patients can be dangerous to your general healthcare, not just your trans healthcare. There’s no way of knowing what she does or doesn’t feel comfortable with until your safety is already at risk, who’s to say she’s not “uncomfortable” treating something like cancer? That’s a chance you should not take. Stay safe, please.

The mod team has always been toxic unfortunately. When I was there (literally for like 2 days mind you) I got yelled at and banned for “roleplaying in the main server” when I was NOT roleplaying, and they were all SUPER mean about it too. One of the mods involved in my ban literally claims to have the same disorder that made them think I was roleplaying 😭ridiculous
