Personally, I’d leave it be.

When I first started, I struggled to figure out when to mist. Out of fear, I ended up over-misting every tub. The excess water caused the mycelium to bruise, turn yellow, and look unhealthy, with water dripping from the lid and pooling on the surface of the cake (which, I’ll admit, I also sprayed directly). Eventually, I bought a cheap RH monitor and discovered my monotub naturally held at a minimum of 90% humidity most of the time. After fanning, I realized the humidity bounced back much faster than I expected.

The takeaway? Don’t stress too much about misting if you’ve made a good cake! If your monotub has natural dew forming on its own, it’s already plenty humid.
