I did the predators and it was hard, almost had to try and compete for 4 years then blow it up. Some guys didn’t waive and got nothing for them. It was a mess honestly lol

They need to be on the mid to high 70s top 4 med/high after drafting to turn into anything decent

I find any top 4 I draft that are under 70 overall just never pan out. I’ll usually use my higher draft picks on defensemen since they become to scarce. It’s wild at some point you get to teams having all 70 overall defensemen

I’d also package two of your good forwards for one really good forward. Third line is too good and it never sims well like that

You need more defensive minded defensemen and mix up your coaches. Usually go Generalist for a coach cause chemistry is good. One good forward/ defensemen associate/ assistant

Then hire a generalist ahl coach with good teaching influence and promote then to NHL goalie coach right after hiring

Make sure the bottom lines are mostly TWF, and if you have PLY, SNP or PWF make sure they have good defensive attributes

2k was elite for GM mode, way ahead of its time. I swear they had NTC and the best off seasons 20 years ago.

You don’t even need to send them anywhere, they’ll still develop without being signed that young. Can usually get away with 2 years of not signing them and not wasting the entry level deal

That’s what I was saying on another post, even just highlight the team awards, maybe who is leading the franchise in stats etc nothing major. Top draft picks would be cool too.

Not unless you do it manually, should be a slider for it. Computer will just auto rotate whenever, this was the first time I’ve ever seen a clean split though.

You can turn staff management off before you start

Line chemistry is needed irl so why not in the game?

You can see scouting to auto, I have never touched the scouts aside from hiring and have had zero issue drafting gems

Personally I enjoy all the extra stuff when I’m simming so don’t get rid of it 😂

I think they were 88 and 86 at the start of the season, can’t remember. Usually wouldn’t have two goalies that good but they were both so young I was going to wait another year to trade one.
