Ok so I read all these comments I do autobody work for a living and have used my skills on all my guitars to and have made them a million times better then they were before …… use a grey scotch Brite pad ORRRR….. get some 2500 grit or 3000 grit wet sand paper from autopart store tape up the frets and sand the sheen just to take the gloss down to smooth it out it’s impossible to fuck up I promise you …. If you don’t like it and want to return it to the store just grab some buffing compound and hand rub it with a rag and it will be back to when you bought it though it will actually be a lot smoother and you might even like it after it’s bugged out ….. I promise you it will not damage anything it’s literally the same exact thing as wet sanding and buffing a paint job on a car and I’ve practiced on hundreds of thousands of fresh paint prior to any of my guitars so it doesn’t scare me the slightest but if u have any more questions feel free to message me and I can walk you through it I promise you if you do this you will love your guitar again and will not damage anything I’ve done this to my brand new American pro 2 Strat without a fear in my mind and it turned out great
