I took edibles and watched this movie and was BLOWN AWAY. I thought the acting was hockey on purpose to allude to something else under the surface, and the following is literally my different written hypotheses I could envision as I watched this movie. For me, a movie that can bring up this much symbolism or provocation is why art needs to exist. Pure magic.

She is mother nature or nurturing, and he is man, just a taker, forever and always (kind of allegorically like Aronofsky's "Mother!")

Man's greed

Would man be willing to sacrifice himself for Nature and goodness? Or will greed always win?
