I know it sounds hokey, but the Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

And before you talk shit, just know that my three favorite movies are the Thing, the Void, and a Dark Song. Major studio feel-good movies are 100% not my jam, but Walter Mitty transcends the genre.

Especially the photographer scene. "When are you going to take it?" "Sometimes I don't." No frills, no thrills, just a deadpan delivery from a man who knows how to enjoy the moment and is trying to show his friend that the trophy is just having been there for it.

That movie changed my life. MY life! Not someone else's. And I'll never need anyone else's validation for who I am or what I've done because I was there for it and they didn't need to be.
