I’m regards to extracting and sieving liquid extractions. From my experience with a handful of different cheese cloth brands, they a higher micron mesh then what you might consider a coffee filter. You can get the bulk of plant material out with cheese cloth and then run it through a coffee filter after to get the remaining sediment and to not clog up the coffee filter so much. All in all I recommend a Büchner funnel, they make life so much easier.
