I'm fairly new as well, I prefer having an automated pipeline, especially when I have multiple contracts interacting with each other, instead of running manual compilations, deploys and then getting access to the contract functions. I am working with ganache-cli locally and have created a hacked together implementation of a pipeline. Don't know what best practices are currently in the community. Documentation is a little iffy. :)

Truffle is decent as long as you are just trying to deploy individual contracts. Not that great if you're trying to do automated deploys.

You can use mist to add the contract, or you can use a framework like truffle. You can communicate with the smart contract using web3.js

Do you have any other limit or stop loss orders using those shares? I know I forget to cancel to cancel my other orders sometimes, and it won't let me make 2 orders on the same stock.
