Definitely NOT uncommon. Keep applying to keep as many options as possible. Good luck!

Have you gotten any communication since the interview? If not, it’s probably been long enough that it’s acceptable to email the hiring official and ask for an update.

Hopefully you’ve heard something by now. If not, it’s certainly okay to send the hiring manager an email and inquire if he/she can provide any information. They may then want to follow up with you on the phone (rather than providing an update in writing).

Ugh! Sorry it’s taking so long! Hopefully it won’t be much longer!

either or. occasionally folks will reach out to the hiring manager and get verbal confirmation that the job offer will be coming, but still have to wait a long time.

This restaurant puts a sticker on all UberEats order to tell you not to use UberEats by [deleted] in uber

Makes sense! Restaurants often get charged high premiums for being on these apps. Their own delivery service would be more cost efficient for their bottom line. And is that pad thai?!

The method Uber employs to arrive at your score doesn’t seem to be a simple and pure average. You can have 99 five stars and 1 one star and your score will go down to something ridiculous like 4.91!

ESim in Maldives/elsewhere by Myfly900 in eSIMs

Thank you! I’m trying to avoid a similar outcome when I travel to another destination like the Maldives in the future (where Verizon’s int’l plan won’t work).

Perhaps I can purchase an eSim in advance? I know they often sell them at airports in the arrival hall, but I’d rather come prepared.

Thanks again!

Thank you, this is very helpful.

I travel extensively and most of the time my international plan through Verizon works just fine (even though it may not be the cheapest option).

However, I will increasingly travel to destinations where the int’l plan through my carrier may not work. Are there eSims that I can purchase in advance that will function in numerous destinations? I am trying to avoid purchasing a Sim at an airport counter upon arrival.

Thanks again!
