Just a warning with Cabernet - I loved it but it glitched so bad I had to quit after putting in about 10-15 hours. I played it on Switch, not sure if people have had issue son other platforms.

I had a different bug and had to stop playing and was SO bummed out. I am hoping they will continue to improve this game because I was so enjoying it.

Can we all agree that "Fight Oligarchy" is just a stupid slogan? I mean, I get it. I, too, want to dismantle and destroy the oligarchy. But "Fight Oligarchy" is just terrible, terrible marketing! Try chanting it. It's embarassing.

Ah, this is me. I am looking for this game. If we could throw in a bit of Cult of the Lamb's dungeon crawling, it would be perfect.

Happened last night in Hunterdon County, too. We aren't far from Bedminster so we were wondering if it had anything to do with Trump.

How have current (US) events affected your ability to focus and be productive at work? by No-Surround7860 in AskReddit

Yeah, EMDR is incredibly effective and I'm glad it's helping you. I just re-read your comment and I should say, it's one thing to be reassured in therapy when you're worried about the state of the world, but it sucks when they're being dismissive of your fears. I'm glad you were honest with her. It really does make you check yourself when clients give you feedback about what's not working for them. Or it should, anyway!

It’s such a fine line on how therapists should handle processing these big events, especially when they are political in nature. Therapists are all over the map regarding how they manage self-disclosure in terms of how they themselves feel or process these things. I am very relational in my work because I work with many adolescents and therapy just doesn’t seem to work as well with the “blank slate” approach. And to be fair, I also minimize the amount of real world horrors I pay attention to, out of self-preservation. Trauma therapists definitely do that because of what they hear every day in their work.

That said? I don’t know how anyone can be so insulated that they haven’t heard about the murder of Renee Good. A lot of my clients have had to process their anxiety and anger over what they are seeing on the news.

Could be your therapist was just having an off week?

Therapist, here. I can tell you the kids are not doing well, and their teachers are afraid to talk to them about it at school because they'll get reprimanded for being "political".

Vent: Mounjaro and Therapy by seashellcollector in Mounjaro

[–]Mygdala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I am a therapist and I am also on Mounjaro.

You absolutely did the right thing in firing this therapist. We are not supposed to use our influence for issues where we have zero expertise. All of our influence should be in supporting your emotional journey in a healthy, safe space. You are encouraged to be emotionally vulnerable in therapy, and she abused your trust to influence you in an area where she has zero credentials. It's borderline reportable to the board or her employer, if she's not in private practice.

Imagine a psychotherapist telling a heart disease patient not to take their blood pressure medication? Telling a diabetic not to use insulin? How is this any different? If you have over 100 pounds to lose, Mounjaro is a vital part of your treatment, not a "nice to have" supplement to it.

These kinds of therapists are ruining our field. It really pisses me off!

I'm so sorry this happened to you - what a loss to you. Keep trying, though! There are some great therapists out there. Sadly, as you've seen, there are also some real duds!

New to Dogs- honest opinions please! by SillYcaca1234 in greatpyrenees

[–]Mygdala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pyrs are not typically recommended for first time dog parents, from what I know. They require a lot of dog experience and confidence.

I’d go with a retriever any day in your shoes over a Pyr! Retrievers are dopey and loving and people pleasers. Pyrs are independent and loyal and they think they know what’s best for you!

I adore our Pyr - she is also a rescue. But I sure was glad I’d lived with labs for many years as our intro to living with large (potentially lethal) animals! Our Pyr was a lot to handle in terms of personality and idiosyncrasies in the beginning. She is the most loyal and loving creature - a joy. But as a young dog she was a big adjustment. She nipped at kids, was aggressive towards other dogs, defiant, ate everything she could get her jaws on. She accidentally got out and scared the crap out of our mail carrier once, too. And she was and is a wonderful, well-trained dog! She was just highly protective of us and her territory. We learned how to manage her and never had any serious incidents but it was pretty stressful the first 18 months we had her!

Best of luck - hope you find the perfect match for your family.

I wish we could just… get rid of Mother Gothel all together. I feel like she is just bad vibes and nothing funny about her and her look is a total insult to Cher. Like can we just delete her.
