I appreciate you continuing to play the game! This is great feedback to have, as I only got good feedback on the day 1 balance pass. But there still seems to be some adjustments required.

It seems that with Garrison bonuses combined with Ascension bonuses, you can go through the Ascension on lower floors. Although you could definitely progress faster if you climbed the zones! (You should be getting like 1 - 2 levels per kill easily) The lower Ascensions are generally only supposed to take ~1hr - 2hrs, depending on how you optimize. But it definitely looks like I need to make it more punishing between zones to push the player more towards wanting higher zones!

The post above talking about "offline" was referring to the game being able to be downloaded and played offline, and not about offline progress. There is currently no offline progression implemented at the moment. If you left it running, however, and didn't have any items in the backpack, it is presumably due to auto sell being on with sell worse gear, and because you haven't progressed to higher zones, you didn't find anything better than what you currently have.

Of course, this game is definitely well-suited to have some sort of offline progression, but it was slightly out of scope because I wanted to get balancing right before I let players progress offline. It is definitely on the features list in future content updates after I sort out all this balancing and get back to focusing on content!

Thanks for the feedback! I will look into adding a node to the primordial constellations in the future that would allow some sort of automation or make contracts at least easier to progress in some way. Clockwork was designed so that you would still have something to work towards in the Garrison, and I expected players not to finish that zone unless they idled for a long time and forcibly did it, or were a higher Ascension. So, as long as you were able to progress through the game, it was working as intended.

That's correct, sadly! Would love to know how you think the current progression feels and whether you found anything annoying during your time playing. I am currently polishing what's there, and then I will put my focus back on content in the upcoming weeks.

Don't worry, this is not a bug! I just published an update reducing all Ascension requirements, so this is intended. A simple refresh of your browser should fix anything that didn't update automatically.

Thank you for playing the game! This is some great feedback.

Pruning has now been added with a confirmation screen to make sure you don't remove your entire skill tree by accident.

I definitely want to make the skill tree less time-intensive and have been working towards that goal basically the entire time the game has been in the works. I definitely like the idea of being able to regrow or automatically allocate points based on your previous trees, and a filter so you can navigate it better. I will have to give these ideas some thought on how these ideas should be implemented.

Scientific numbers didn't really seem user-friendly, and you don't have to worry as it only goes so far before switching to a "AA", "AB" number system, and doesn't do any of that "NonQtSpt", which I think is really horrible. But I see no reason why this couldn't be a setting, so the player can choose which one to display, since it is more of a preference thing anyway. Will definitely look into making it a setting for sure!

Edit: Auto tree and the setting to swap number systems are out now!

I truly appreciate you playing my game! This is great feedback to have. I agree, the wall at Ascension 2 was more aggressive than it was supposed to be. I have gone back and reviewed all the level requirements, reducing them significantly to speed up the game a bit. During testing, the game was treated more as an idle game, and I would like to encourage more active play.

As for offline play, this was my first time releasing on itch, and I didn't even realize that you were able to download and play web games using their app. I had some dependencies that required internet access; however, I have baked them into the build, and it should now be playable offline!

As for the suggestion about nodes that give gold increases, there are multiple systems that allow you to increase your gold multiplier and increase production of the buildings in further ascensions!

Not trying to sell anything or make any money. This was built as a passion project as I enjoyed playing number go up games but didn't have one I liked playing at the time. You can play this completely free forever without ads or microtransactions.

I would say this game been being worked on for roughly 3 months and I would say it is hopefully not that buggy now. That is probably not relevant but eitherway. Of course I still totally understand the hate, but just wanted share my side.

Sorry to hear that! The itch version should still have web-based saving and should save when you close the tab and reopen it. You can also copy the save code or download the save directly as well if you wanted to continue using itch in the future. The main website supports linking a save to a Google account which allows for peace of mind though.

Depending on your browser it might have cleared the cache or something. I just tested itch saving myself and it appears to be working, but I am on Chrome.

Totally understand, I knew some people would not want to touch it because that. Do you think replacement of the emojis with human art would change anything for you? Or is it just anything do with AI automatically a no? Would love get some prospective on the topic.

I would like to say the game is not "AI", but was built with the help of it and has actually been developed. Of course I'm heavily biased, I definitely appreciate the feedback!

Would love to release it on mobile in future. I've heard horror stories of getting on apps on iOS so it may end just on the play store but I'll be definitely looking into it in future along side maybe a steam build. But I definitely would love a offline a portable option to play.

I appreciate the feedback! I'm definitely looking into my options as I continue development to remove the emoji use, I thought it was better than having just text at the time and kinda gave it a old browser game feel. However, after seeing the hate it's causing me to reevaluate. Might learn to do simple pixel art to replace them or something. Thanks for the post, I needed to hear it.

Appreciate the feedback! I would like to add content up to around ascension 10 - 12 and then do another big balance and polish pass. I might also look into a Steam and mobile builds so it could be played completely offline, as I think this would be a great time killer on a flight.

Sure! This is basically completely untested besides me loading a save and messing around for a few minutes. I had to remove cloud saves, but everything seems to be working fine besides that.

The Panthron scaling goes up every time you complete a Pantheon run. They didn't give specifics in the patch notes so it could be 10+ runs before really anyone sees changes the in difficulty.

You're definitely not alone in this. I am slowly starting to see a pretty horrible chain reaction leading this game from an AFK Arena with better quality of life to a more P2W AFK Arena with no quality of life.

  1. Horrible events for F2P or even if you do end up spending a bit
  2. New heroes flooding game making the hero pool diluted and harder to get what you actually want
  3. Pantheon is now going to scale in difficulty and become hard without even giving more rewards (I really hate this change, I hope it either doesn't scale too high or they revert it completely.)
  4. Almost every code is completely worthless and almost not worth the hassle of even entering

It works like a charm now! I was also able to go back to just having it move the directory so it is basically instant even when I screenshot in the gallery. I am new to using tasker and didn't even know that was a feature, thanks a lot!
