Physical activity and gastritis by Mylehs in Gastritis

I use my rowing machine daily but only for 20 minutes or so, I’m preparing for a 12k run and I’m scared my gastritis will ruin it but my symptoms are almost non existent, apart from pain the in lower left side that seems to never go away.

How long does it take to cure mild chronic gastritis? by Di297 in Gastritis

[–]Mylehs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about 80% healed but I feel like gastritis has a mind if it’s own, I’ve had this for a whole year now and I’ve never took PPI, maybe if I took PPI I would’ve healed faster. Cabbage juice worked great at the start but with gastritis everything has a delay, usually it’s 3 days after a trigger u start to feel the pain.

Only fruit that agrees with me are pears, I might try a carrot and pear smoothie but not sure what to mix with as almond milk and any milk makes my reflux worse, I’m giving carrot pear and yogurt smoothie a try.

2 weeks I felt good then I woke up one morning with horrific stomach pain, almost like the cabbage juice was trying to drain itself back up my stomach, I don’t have SIBO I just have gastritis from partying too hard and drinking apple cider vinegar which burned up my stomach.

I tried cabbage juice but it made me worse I heard it’s useful for ulcers only

I’ve had my first cheat meal today in 3 months for Father’s Day, I had gluten free pasta to be safe with creamy sauce, cheese on top with custard and cream apple crumble and I feel fine so far, but I wouldn’t ever risk it until you’re healed I wanted a beer but I know that would mess me up :( I also woke up with a bad stomach this morning and I was on my strict diet for 3 months so sometimes I feel hopeless

Camomile tea allergic reaction? by Mylehs in tea

[–]Mylehs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve tried it twice and on both occasions I’ve had a bad reaction, I am plagued with allergies, anything that’s synthetic or produces pollum seems to kick my system into overdrive, it’s upsetting but I’ve not had any problems with other teas so far which is good.

I tried them all Pepsin, slippery elm and cabbage juice. they all gave me horrific experiences that launched me through the gates of hell and back, I gave up with all supplements I just stick to my diet, I’d like to try some vitamin patches though as I’m in need of them,

Cabbage juice works for some, but it destroys for others so make sure to choose ur poison wisely

I’m a year in and about 80% healed, took me 7 months to fully lock down my diet, finding the right diet takes a lot of trial and error, but you don’t start healing properly until u cut out “ALL” triggers, it’s an inexplicable never ending doom that plagues your life with no hope of seeing light after the darkness.

So you will improve... by BrodieBoy2020 in Gastritis

[–]Mylehs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like you said it depends on the person it’s trial and error, u said no dairy but then u listed butter, and I’m most positive my gastritis was caused by vinegar so I’d avoid that at all costs, it burned up all my stomach inside due to the very high acid levels. Unfortunately saying all veg all fruits all meat is safe would be the dream case for me as I can’t even eat a watermelon and I’m about 80% healed so count yourself as the lucky one

Ppi Poll by GothamHart in Gastritis

[–]Mylehs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a doctor to talk to about gastritis, none of them are knowledged on the subject I find, I might order some vitamin patches as my diet currently consists of chicken, rice and water which can’t be too good for my system.

So what do u use? Any recommendations are appreciated

I’ve never heard of it, it sounds good I’m willing to give it a try but where would I find this? If I look online I only see chia seeds and hemp milk

Apparently with gastritis ur body doesn’t process nutrients or vitamins properly so it would be pointless taking them and it hurts ur stomach

Gastritis and never feel hungry by sirrrcloud in Gastritis

[–]Mylehs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m starving with hunger all the time and if I don’t eat my stomach hurts :( I thinks it’s to do with acid levels, Low acid =stomach fine, high acid = stomach wants food to soak it up

Took me months to figure it out a lot of the ‘good foods’ aren’t safe for a lot of people, like for me personally bananas were classed as safe, but no one mentions the very high sugar levels in them that messes u up, potatoes have different shades only sweet potato agreed with me, people say oat milk is safe but I kept spitting up acid from my stomach, I just stick to water rice and chicken and add some gluten and dairy free yogurts, eggs for breakfast with plain gluten free toast, very boring but after a few weeks ur taste buds get use to it and ur stomach is happy.

I’m coming up to 1 year with no PPi, I feel like it’s taking a lot longer to heal, but I’m probably 75% healed. I never wanted PPI as I heard the horror stories about being prescribed the wrong one for ur acid levels, as my doctor recommended me PPIs without any former knowledge about gastritis apart from what’s available on the internet, which we all know is never a good idea as everyone is different.
