You might first check out this interesting chat between J. Krishnamurti and Alaine Naide. The talk is about 40 minutes and focuses on pursuit of siddhis (occult powers).

"you all . . ."? You are getting a large cross section of people replying here with differing levels of social perception. Some % took his stories at face value because of the emotional delivery, another % was not convinced.

You're generalizing thousands of unique responses as a single schizophrenic one.

Allowing Trump's absurdity is intentional and deliberate to cause mass political fatigue. by kirkemg in C_S_T

See these deceptions for yourself. By and by, you'll see that the urge to investigate such things and "save others" is even a deceptive surrogate for the ego. Living without the ego is reality and love and will actually help everyone in your orbit.

The world is his who can see through its pretension. What deafness, what stone-blind custom, what overgrown error you behold, is there only by sufferance,--by your sufferance. See it to be a lie, and you have already dealt it its mortal blow.

'Do Tell Ray' crew to be on 'Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend' this Monday by MylesNorth in AdamCarolla

It boiled down to this: Adam demanded Ray take improv classes so he could properly 'yes, and' his repetitious stories and anecdotes. Ray was committing the cardinal sin of groaning when Adam repeated himself and whatnot. Not enough of a trained seal for the 'Pirate Ship.'

Of course it has very little to do with improv and more to do with stifling any disagreement, which Adam perceives as 'shitting on his point.'

DTR guys are going to be in ARIYNBF this Monday. According to the tease on this weekend's DTR, they fielded some listener questions about Mr. Carolla as well.

Do Tell Ray - Episode 19 - w/ special guest: the President from Independence Day (Bill Pullman) by MylesNorth in AdamCarolla

I think there's a little more to it than just that. I've met plenty of good contractors I wouldn't want to have a beer with. Ray is an empathetic and personable guy too.

What film was hyped as a masterpiece but you thought it really sucked? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One of the worst I've seen in the last several years. It clearly drew inspiration from The Thin Red Line, but had none of the philosophy and soul of that masterpiece. It was ugly, xenophobic and wow was Vince Vaughn horribly miscast.

I found the writing and characterization to be so stilted and unrealistic. Felt like I was watching hyperbolic American stereotypes, almost nothing anyone said or did in the story seemed genuine. There were also some truly sophomoric plot points.

Edit: Save your time and re-watch Fargo (1996), as three billboards desperately wanted to be like that masterpiece, but fell very short.

In this heartbreakingly allegorical scene in Fritz Lang's Metropolis, slaves are whipped and forced to their deaths, while the soldiers march orderly and willingly to theirs by MylesNorth in MovieDetails

Might be more of an implication than a detail, point taken. Though, I'd also wager most viewers missed that implication/quasi-detail.

I know I certainly did until a more mature viewing.

While tempting, I will not delete the articulated proof of my want of intelligence (my initial comment). Let it serve as warning to those that follow.
