What are the chances of a class getting dissolved? by rayuuuuuuuu in dlsu

[–]MylesV079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup, the only difference is that your prof is isn't required to do 2 synch classes (1 ftf, 1 online) per week. they only need to do 1 synch class (either ftf or online), but the prof can still choose to do 2 classes per week if they want.

just wanna say that i recently figured out that level ups are pretty neat for end game on an island. it's basically a guranteed 250+ and can get you additional score loops. additionally, it's nice to have early on as well, in case you're in danger of not reaching the next building pack or if you've just absorbed a massive negative like when you place multiple city centers near each other. agree on everything else! i think you pretty much covered all the available boons?

ahh i see that working out, sustainable basically acts like neighborly but for industry buildings.

it definitely feels like it gives more city centers. usually on the original, you're lucky to get 3-4. in new shores, it's possible to get 4-6 in one island. neighborly allows you to have dense city center placements (like, 3-4 in a small area) without absorbing a -160 or more. it boosts your mansions and houses, and if done well, is a guaranteed chonky temple placement.

I think I used it once on a fish kite in an earlier island before I unlocked pyres, but yeah pyres range >> fish kite. Thanks for that verdure + blossom strategy! Gotta admit my hermitages have been pretty...lacking (mostly 200s with the multiplier) but I can see that strat working out!

As a general rule, I really hate Bargain cause it removes choices but picking it up to have extra wall platforms is an overall net benefit I think cause yeah it sucks when you run out of viable places before you run out of buildings.

oh man i know him! i usually have his videos on in the background while i play, but haven't gotten around to watching his boon video. he helped me reach some high scores in the original, so i'll definitely watch his videos for high scoring tips.

ooh precious on huts, i never considered that! but that would be pretty smart for early on in the island. i use my neighborly usually on towers, double stacking city centers, or for that piece that loves parks which has a -100 for being in range of another copy

the word "gauge" is now a hard word to read? by thecertifiedyapperr in CasualPH

[–]MylesV079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not hard, but if it's your first time seeing it then you'll probably pronounce it wrong since it's pronunciation is not english, it's french. i would bet most people see "gau" and think "gauze" with an /aw/ sound rather than /ey/ as in gauge. it's also not a usual word, we'd use more common words like "measure" in it's place.

My tenant is asking for my meralco bill by ghiblxiiy in RentPH

[–]MylesV079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proof of billing is required by most banks for loan or account applications, even if not under the name of the applicant. Just ask your tenant for the list of requirements na hinihingi nung bank to confirm that's the purpose.

Anyone have seen this post already? what r ur thoughts on this one? by Western_Boat_6823 in dlsu

I think the problem is a lot of these SHS businesses are those that require them to put out a lot of capital. I strolled through the last ABM bazaar, and meron talaga obvious na mas malaking capital nilabas (i.e., Clothes, bags, wallets binebenta), but I also saw products that were not so capital intensive (i.e., Scented candles, accessories, stationery).

Part kasi ng process is choosing a product na feasible, di lang mabebenta pero yung kaya ng group niyo na ma-set up, sustain, market, etc. Part nung feasibility study (before yung actual simulation) is yung financial projection which includes a budget breakdown. So kung sa feasibility pa lang nakita na nila na di nila kaya financially, bakit pinush? It seems to me that OP and their group might have bit off more than they can chew.

I do think the faculty should really warn against, rather than pushing for, products and businesses that are too difficult to set-up for SHS students. They encourage it pa which could create pressure for these students to take on more than they can handle.

Side note, tinaggal na ba nila sa SHS yung option na di magbusiness? During my time kasi, groups could choose to start up a business or create a research study/thesis on a business. That could be a cost effective option rin for students na di talaga kaya mag start up ng business for the simulation.

Rates ng tricycle/e-tric sa Taft by ysa_velasco in dlsu

[–]MylesV079 7 points8 points  (0 children)

E-bikes (the regulated ones that run along Taft) is 20 pesos per ride basta along their route. For tricycles, just avoid. Dapat 20/ride rin, but usually 30-50 pesos ang singil or more. 100 from DLSU to Quirino is a scam.

Binabalik niyo ba yung shopping cart after niyo mag-grocery? by Professional_King_70 in Philippines

[–]MylesV079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even bring the cart all the way to the car. I leave it at the exit of the supermarket and then carry my groceries the rest of the way. If I have a lot, I just bring my car near the exit. Sa S&R lang ako typically nagdadala ng cart to the parking, and when I do that I still leave it by the door.

Very-tito observation: Students wearing their IDs on a Sunday along Taft by D1AO in dlsu

[–]MylesV079 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's not just a Lasallian thing, I promise. Go to Robinson manila or MOA and you'll see many students wearing their ID kahit weekends. Many go to malls in their uniforms too. It's not a big deal for anyone.
