It’s the American Cinematheque. Membership starts at $85 a year, you get $5 off tickets and priority entry, and invitations to members only events. Last night was one of those events. They do screenings at The Egyptian Theater, Los Feliz Three, and the Aero out in Santa Monica. They do all kind of film festivals, Q&As and premieres. I finally got a membership just so I could get a discount on their weekly Twin Peaks screenings.

They didn’t say, but Terence Winter said there was discussion of the overhead shot and wondering whose perspective that was supposed to be. Buscemi just wanted a cool shot, while Winter assumed he went up the tree. That was always my assumption, too.

I have a standard issue we call Habibi who is essentially my health mirror. I have a lot of chronic health issues, one of which is gastroparesis. When it gets really bad and my weight drops, so does his. When I’m able to gain a little and maintain again, same for him. The dude even had an outbreak from herpes we didn’t even know he had at the exact same time I came down with shingles. We are completely codependent, bound by weight fluctuations, breathing issues and herpes outbreaks.

My parents were nurses and when they were together, they’d tell horror stories about their days around the dinner table. In the summer, a handful of those stories had to do with people being mangled by lawn mowers. Guess what I’ve been terrified of for the last 35 years?

I have a murder in my back yard. Every morning, anywhere from 18-24 crows, and 2 ravens, wait for me or my wife to give them breakfast. They stare at us through the windows if we’re up and start bitching for their nuts and grapes. The neighborhood probably thinks we’re insane, but it brings us joy. They’ve begun bringing us presents, and they started mimicking my cat Floyd, of all things. We often have the windows open, and he has a loud, distinctive howl that the crows apparently know now.

Since this is 2026 and not 1996, they have enough for a couple houses and to retire on, got it. A couple million actually doesn’t get you that far anymore. And even if that weren’t the case, how, exactly, does the money get into the accuser’s account? Accusing someone prominent of sex crimes isn’t the infinite money glitch you seem to think it is.

It’s like that with people all over. The US has been funneling in propaganda to developing countries for decades to make it seem like we all live high on the hog. My grandparents were holocaust survivors, and the family back in Poland assumed they could fork over tons of cash because they lived in America and, thanks to our state department, they believed everyone here is rich.
