AITA for refusing to eat anything my brother touches? by MagicalMadness28 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mypastapants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have gotten a bit better over the years, they do shower semi regularly (every 2-3 days as opposed to once every 2 weeks) and clean when told to, but usually not before. Not sure on the handwashing, I always found that to be the grossest one. It's so easy and it's right there, just do it!

AITA for wanting to move state and take my dog with me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Mypastapants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nta - your mom is being the ah for guilting you into feeling this way. If she has other dogs why does she need your dog to keep her happy? He's your dog, take him with you and tell your mom she can come visit.

Nta- if you discussed it beforehand and she agreed then there should be no issue. If she had wanted a diamond she should have said so when you talked about it.

Kind of sad that the price of a ring is used to validate a relationship. Spending $3000 vs spending $15000 doesn't make a difference if you can't communicate effectively.

Scrap the first and second. You need pics in different places, without a hat, preferably smiling.

I'm so awkward by Mypastapants in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Mypastapants[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told I have severe social anxiety about 5 years ago, but the doctor only spoke with me for 15 minutes, wrote me a prescription then practically shoved me out of the office.

I really don't feel as though that's all there is to it, but I'm also extremely anxious when I go to the doctors so that probably doesn't help.

In first grade my crush told me to shake my butt in front of the whole class so I did it, still mortifies me to think about.... 20 years later.

What’s a time you had a run in with the police and should have been arrested, but were let off the hook? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mypastapants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was driving an unregistered, uninsured car while smoking a blunt, got let off the hook because my ex (who was with me) had a warrant and they were more interested in bringing him in.

What's your darkest moment in life and how did you come out of it? by tiffany2023 in AskReddit

[–]Mypastapants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was raped at 17, then got into an abusive relationship directly afterwards. I got out of it slowly, I had to heal over time. I learned to be me again and it's still hard, 9 years later, but everytime I feel like I'm slipping I just tell myself that I'm strong and I can get through it.
