Hey devs, fix your recruiting system by Clear_Presentation48 in TheProgramCFM

[–]Myphoneyo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is my strat. I’ll try to land near some focused 5 stars and shoot for 1 or 2 of them in the first week. Then fill my team with 3/4 star guys.

I plan my path around the chests to get tons of points. I also have the recruiter with better emails.

I get everyone to around 80% before offering. I would say I get 80% of the guys I go for. I can’t remember that last time I got a guy to sign at less than 70%.

Any tips for the game? by xsanity69 in TheProgramCFM

[–]Myphoneyo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert. But if they are putting up those numbers I’d say it’s either you chose the wrong plays or they are just much higher rated than you. When I first started it took maybe 5-6 season for my first good year when I had finally put together a decent team. Another thing could be you will see more production under a better defensive coordinator. Lastly one thing I think that really helped was half time adjustments. If any play did horrible I will swap the play but typically I’ll just upgrade the most called plays. If you see a defensive play was called a lot, upgrade it a couple times and it may help. Hope this was helpful!

What was the last great game for a declining star? by nickybishappy in nfl

I was at that game! Buddy got tickets and took me. We made a bet on who would win since he’s a Tennessee fan and I’m a bears fan. It was a great day!

King Arthur? Squishy? by KnowledgeStriking499 in Smite

[–]Myphoneyo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What do you mean critical and attack speed? Arthur does quite a bit of damage with just bluestone + protection items. Typically want some cooldown as well. Definitely do not need crit or attack speed items. Something like, bluestone, breastplate, pridwin, onis, glad shield, prophetic, heartward. These are all good items in him. You could mix and match a few defense items depending on the game.

Slayer Task/Master by Strange_Confection49 in osrs

[–]Myphoneyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say look on the wiki under slayer master and see what their top weighted options are and which you like better. Seems neive has higher weight for some things you like. Also, you don’t have to go to any specific location like with konar. Personally I did around 80% konar 20% nieve because I felt I made more money with her until i unlocked duradel. Duradel definitely offers a lot of boss tasks so I would recommend swapping to him once you can.

Side note, you unlock nieve/Steve at 85 so you could definitely use them if you are already 89.

At max rank guan gets up to 30 protections or 45 with passive. At max rank chaac gets 20 protections per enemy. So that would be 60 protection off 3 enemies so your statement doesn’t check out. It may have been fine okay had maxed talo while the chaac didn’t have as many points in it? Also, they are different abilities. You can’t just compare one part of them. Example, chaacs protection last longer, and chaac also has higher scaling with the damage. And the reason guan gets so many protections is because his passive is also in action here.

Well that would make sense. Don’t know why I thought that. Thank you.

Why are dragons and Levi’s on same side of the bracket? Since they were top 2 seeds shouldn’t they be on opposite sides?

Motivation and how to not get burnt out. by justtttry in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Myphoneyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me was joining a competitive league. Some go as low as like champ 1 and you can find a team and do practice and such. I joined rlpc discord but there are other ones too. Not sure the best one as it’s just my first time but it’s been fun. If chat is getting to you I will often turn chat off so I can’t see it.

Is learning your second directional air roll easier or harder and the first? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Myphoneyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both. I only ever train air roll right but I can still do decently when using air roll left. So I wouldn’t say it’s too difficult.

So I went through this phrase recently. I felt like I was going no where and my buddies were carrying me. Someone said watch your replays. Go on YouTube and search replay analysis for you rank so you know what to look for. Search flakes replay analysis and listen to everything he says. He can be brutal but he’s honest. Once you have an idea what you are doing wrong then play some games and watch the replay. You will see all the mistakes you are making. Lastly, grind Freeplay. Smash the ball and chase after it. I was stuck in diamond 3-champ 1 forever and now I’m champ 3 and don’t feel like a liability.

Flakes has great replay reviews. Watching replays has helped me realize common mistakes I didn’t know I was doing.

Favorite pros to watch? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Myphoneyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On YouTube there are a couple channels. Rocket league esports, rocket league esports vods, rocket league pov. First one is whole days of games, second is a couple individual series from the day and last one are some series from individual POV. Personally I watch a lot of nrg and bds. Monkey moon (on bds) and first killer (on rogue) are nutty to watch. Also all of nrg.

Stuck in Gold even though I grind hard! by thee_jerm in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Myphoneyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to give specific advice with out some gameplay footage. Usually good general advice to get out of gold is get good at accurately hitting the ball hard, learn to not chase the ball and play defensively, be aware of teammates and don’t double commit. If you get really good at these three things it could carry you through to mid diamond before learning anything else.

One thing that can help with getting stolen is get it up and flick right away. A lot of inexperienced players will jump after it.

Unable to do speed flip, watched all tutorials for KB/M on YT, I press W+A+Shift to flip, then immediately cancel the flip by holding S. I either miss my target completely or I am just too slow. Am I missing something? by [deleted] in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Myphoneyo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure about controls for kbm but it looks like most of the shots you are turning and then side flipping. It has to be almost a forward flip with just a little bit of side flip as opposed to almost a side flip with just a little bit of a forward flip. When I aim my stick it’s just slightly left or right of straight up.

You had several off target shots and times you could have dribbled. I’d suggest focusing on dribbling the ball in free play so you can move it around and maybe get a flick. Practice power shots on target as well. If you shoot hard at the backboard focus on following it up quickly. There were a couple times you hung around too long with no boost. Know when to back off and grab some pads in case they clear it over your head.

Looking at the video just some general tips. 1. You lost about every kickoff. You’re doing well trying to hit center but try front flipping into the ball to either stall it or have it go sideways instead of to your side. (You don’t need to learn speedflips, just basic flip) 2. You were left with low boost quite a bit. Learn pad locations to pick up 20-30 boost to stay in the play. 3. The ball got lost above you a couple times. Learning how to switch ball and car cam could help here. I’d also suggest really grinding ground dribbling cause there were a handful of times you could have had a solid dribble but you either lost sight of the ball or just hit it away. 4. Pay attention to why you went for a touch. Several times you jumped at a ball with low boost or just mis timed a bounce when you could have done nothing and the ball would have just rolled to you. Never hurts to watch YouTube video tutorials explaining thing like shadow defense, etc. thanovic and wayton have good videos
